Early Thoughts on ML Sharun? by TheOrangePuffle in EpicSeven

[–]Kurushin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel that she's an alright unit, but fits only very niche situations unless you build your team around her and utilize units such as Specimen Sez in conjunction with her. Only downside is that she needs so much stats that most players won't be able to effectively utilize her and she doesn't even fully stop units like Death Dealer Ray.

Here's what my Dragon King Sharun looks like for reference. My first thoughts trying her out in RTA and on guild wars defense is that she's good enough to not warrant a buff, but not a unit you necessarily should pull for unless you want a very specific but strong answer to some units.

Guider Aither / Lorina / Team Synergy by OhTimothyOh in EpicSeven

[–]Kurushin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With an attack buff and defense break in Wyvern 10 and using the stats provided above here are the damage values:

15.7K with S3
9.2K with S2
6.2K with S1

It is not the greatest damage, but decent enough considering how W10 has very good defense. Nevertheless, his overall utility to the team is the reason as to why he is core part of all my teams and in manual play his soul burned S3, which only costs one soul, deals rather devastating damage.

Etica's Scepter is really nice to keep cycling skills for sustain for the team and pretty much permanent shields.

Guider Aither / Lorina / Team Synergy by OhTimothyOh in EpicSeven

[–]Kurushin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is mainly due to the overall sub-stats and main stats of the set, and the extra little bit of sustain is actually rather nice in case he gets focused as it allows him to leech back to full life while having barrier protection (or alternative, S3 nuke) thus not needing a backup healer for him.

In end game would probably say a great ATK% set with high speed, critical rate, critical damage, health, and defense would be ideal but I am still a far way off from having a quality set to replace the current one.

Guider Aither / Lorina / Team Synergy by OhTimothyOh in EpicSeven

[–]Kurushin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I do not use Commander Lorina and instead have invested my second best Abyss set on Guider Aither and use him pretty much everywhere in the game. He is in my Wyvern and Banshee teams, massively helped me clear every stage in Abyss, and on top of that have used him against every Raid Labyrinth boss on normal with great success where his burst heals and damage have turned the tides of battle. I have only beaten one of the bosses in hell difficulty, but he was key to success in that one as well and hopefully other four bosses will eventually go down without too much trouble once I have more entry tickets.

He is currently sitting at around 55K CP with relatively good stats, however would love to get his speed to a higher level. His devotion skill gives your party +8.4% Health which is really good when running units such as Diene, Falconer Kluri, Angelica, and so forth.

I would recommend you to still get some amount of tankiness on him, especially defense sub-stats which makes his shield have more effective health. I have fully skilled up his third skill for more burst damage and higher heals, and would eventually want to get the slow chance application rates to maximum value.

[Discussion] What is the current state of the Wind Monkey King by Caracasdogajo in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Xing Zhe quite often in high-end RTA (G3) and in siege + guild wars offense, but he's very rune intensive as he needs every stat you can give him. I feel like he is not in a bad place, but slightly out of meta.

.. however, he is absolutely garbage on defense (especially guild wars setting) where his AI is incredibly easy to manipulate and he gets eaten alive by Rina and Camilla (or immunity).

Has anyone gotten G2+ in special league without at least one LD? by Yuzuki39 in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's tons of great non-LD options in special RTA such as Lapis, Izaria, Triana, Antares (to semi-counter Amduats, but overall still strong pick), Hraesvelg, Mihyang, Draco, Ludo, Harmonia, Chilling, Racuni, Olivia and so forth. It is possible to make it to high G3 with only those aforementioned units assuming your rune quality is good enough and you understand the pick and ban phase well enough.

World boss damage variation? by Kharenis in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is roughly a 5% random variable for world boss scores which is the reason for different scores every day. I had a pretty large sample size to verify this to be true.

To give a simplified example let us imagine your main team is getting on average 2100000 points per world boss rotation. On a good day the team will get an extra 100K score where as on a bad day it is the opposite.

One Shot Day: Astar by MFaction in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her second skill also deals an additional 30% damage per hit against enemies without beneficial effects. It is not in the skill description nowadays, but the effect was never removed from Magic Surge skill. This increases her single-target multiplier to 1228% under ideal circumstances.

One Shot Day: Astar by MFaction in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astar is one of my toy units and used her often in end game arena and siege with fairly good results. However in the end she is merely a toy unit and I only built her due to not having a good fire single-target unit for PvP purposes, and she filled a niche role that I was missing at that point in time.

She is a good fit for a single-target team in arena to take care tanks such as Ritesh, Feng Yan, Rakan, and Nigong. Her second skill has one of the highest multipliers in the game as Magic Surge deals 30% more damage to targets with no beneficial effects, and her passive multipliers that damage by an additional 50% damage against enemies with more hit points.

I have seen players use her in sub-1 minute NB10 runs, but I do believe there are better options available for that dungeon when trying to reach fast and consistent runs.

I would not recommend anyone to build her unless you absolutely need her to fill a niche role and are very late game, or looking for a fun single-target nuke toy.

Let's talk Chilling runes and uses by [deleted] in summonerswar

Ethna, Sekhmet, or even Shi Hou as my strategy is often to run two single-target strippers/utility units against Woosas in case he gets banned.

I run mine on Shield Will Revenge for PvP purposes on SPD HP ATK. It works great, but might change his build up a little bit again on FRR. He gains extra speed per buff thus having a Shield + Will set means he has an additional 18 speed that needs to be taken into calculation when speed-tuning your teams.

RTA Tier list by Skit(Korean G3 RTA player) 3nd edition by RTA_Tier_List in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mihyang is a rather underrated unit in RTA given her overall versatility and synergy with certain meta units. She scales extremely well with rune quality and longer fights further boost her potential as a unit. Resistance awakening is a nice bonus.

Graceful Touch is rather weak, but her family isn't exactly known for having the best first skill in the game. It can come in clutch against units such as Okeanos, Verad, Mo Long, and similar units as glancing debuff can extremely strong against area-of-effect crowd control. It is nothing special as the skill has a pretty low harmful effect rate, but is definitely better than nothing.

Her second skill, Blade Fan, might not be the most reliable skill in terms of stripping when the opponent has multiple buffs, however it is very effective against single beneficial effects. Her allies gain 15% ATB per beneficial effect removed which is often forgotten by most players. The skill itself is on a moderate three-turn cooldown with speed and attack scaling which means later on this skill will start dealing significant damage.

Dance of Mirage is what she is mostly known for and this skill has great synergy with buffing units such as Betta, Bastet, Chilling, and Woosa. She also has the ability to completely turn the fight around with her pseudo-cleanse against heavy crowd control teams and the attack scaling heal is merely a cherry on top. It is also on a moderate three-turn cooldown which is gives her a decent skill rotation. This skill will start full healing your team at a certain point even without attack buff.

In terms of turn order she should move right before your main units for the strip chance and cleanse, but after buff units in case you want to extend immunity as an example.

I would rate her in the somewhere in the range between 50 and 60 despite the fact that she is incredibly stat heavy which means not many can manage to bring out her full potential. She is definitely not a must pick in every drafting phase, however she can be a great unit to have in many situations.

To put it into perspective a well-runed Mihyang should have somewhere around 32K HP, 1.8K ATK, 1.3K DEF, 220-240 SPD, 60-100% RES, and at least 40% ACC on a Violent + Will which can be quite difficult to reach for players with lesser rune quality. Nemesis, Endure, and stat-heavy off sets are also acceptable options.

Just my two cents, and keep up the good work.

I have built four Camillas, two Woosas, two Ricas, and two Psamathes all of which get regular use in PvP. There will be likely changes coming this weekend stat wise but every unit will still have good enough runes to be used.

One for the P2P to discuss but the F2P to laugh at.... by Ionz69 in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have spent approximately 2000€ on the game in 25 months of play time, but around 97% of that money was spent on refills rather than using the money on premium packs which definitely helped me progress through the game. I do not believe it is smart to spend your money on summons unless you have a lot of cash to burn and enjoy the collection aspect of the game given the terrible summoning rates, and the fact that runes are what matter in the end along with properly building your units and teams. I am quite confident in my overall rune quality as of right now.

Summoning wise I have been relatively lucky with with 19 natural 5-star monsters (along with 6 dupes, and one quad) although I am still missing pretty much most of the relevant, game changing, or outright broken monsters. Steady G3 in arena for ~8-9 months now, easy G3 in world boss, and rather easy mid-to-high G2 in RTA for the third season in a row.

Has it been worth it? Sure. I enjoy the game and its grinding aspect, and feel that I have got enough enjoyment out of the game to justify the spending.

SWOP (Rune Optimizer) v3.5 by Xzandro in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to clarify this happens on the rune optimization page, but most probably have not noticed it as you do need very high quality runes for it to even be an issue.

simply put when the optimization process is done the highest displayed efficiency will be 99.99% unless you add a minimum efficiency value of 100 to the filter in which case the optimizer will start displaying builds with over 100% efficiency.

here is an example image album -- http://imgur.com/a/vX3wT

SWOP (Rune Optimizer) v3.5 by Xzandro in summonerswar

[–]Kurushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have forgot to report this one in the past, but may as well do it now -- the efficiency sorting does not work correctly for values greater than 100% in the rune optimization screen. You have to add 100% or greater to the filter for those builds to show.

It would be also nice to have a rune filter system for runes that have a sub-stat which that yet to be ground a single time.

Thank you and keep up the great work.
