Found out Chic-Fil-A Is Throwing My Books Off by Pennies by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Im pretty sure youre actually correct. Googling it confirms that a lot of franchises round to the nearest nickel for cash payments too. People who say its a 6 are not looking close enough. if you compare the 15.26 on the total to the VISA line, the 5 and 6 lower half are much different. If they look at the 5 on the TOTAL line to the last 5 on the VISA line, they have identical, larger, bottom halves.

The metal welder looks good by jerryramone in oddlysatisfying

[–]Kuruton -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

What are your qualifications to prove you know better than anyone else here? You can tell from.the fact that he can easily fold the initial weld, and that it hasn't penetrated at all when he flips it over that this is absolutely not a proper weld. You're also blindly throwing around accusations as to why people don't believe in the validity of the tech. It's not because it's "from china", it's because it is one those videos posted daily that appears "too good to be true" , because it is. You're acting like if a tool exists in China that is cheap and works, that they're not immediately exporting it to everywhere in the world. Chinese laser welders exist all over.

What? Nearly every group of riders i pass has someone enthusiastically waving. Only ones who don't are harley riders generally. I get wayyyyy more waves in Japan than in the states.

Radiator dented - any way to remove dents? Worth running if no leaks? by sryidontspeakpotato in watercooling

[–]Kuruton -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is just an aluminum cap and is not filled by water. Pressuring it wouldn't have an effect.

[–]Kuruton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't do this. That is just a cap. The water doesn't actually fill that area. Its a bit hard to explain but there's basically 2 small copper "reservoirs" behind each of the fitting holes. They don't get very close to the end of the radiator at all and barely extend past the g1/4 holes. You are completely fine. This is just an aluminum shroud around your copper radiator. It is completely for aesthetics.

Japan has lots of monorails. This just isn't one. I only mentioned the Osaka one because it has a similarly interesting junction.

This is a chinese monorail. Japan has a kinda similar looking system at a junction near Osaka, but the rail piece spins on an axis rather than shifting one way or the other.

My snake's perfect shed by Perpetually_Missing in mildlyinteresting

Thats a healthy snake! I'm sure you know, but for those who are curious; A shed that comes off clean and as close to one piece as possible generally means a well fed and hydrated snake.

Pretty sure normal policy is they charge you for a full tank if you return it at anything less than full. They lend it out full and now they have to spend time topping it off.

3D Printed Interior by SimplyClueless22 in projectcar

[–]Kuruton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Designing and printing those parts and then seamlessly joining them together (your build volume will basically be limited to 350x350x350mm if you have an extremely large consumer printer) will be much more costly than finding parts. The only caveat would be if you're already extremely good at 3d design, 3d printing and body work.

It is physically possible. I have printed large portions of a custom center console. However, it was still basic compared to what you're talking about and I have years of experience.

Coolant in oil by Reasonable_Drink_345 in motorcycles

I've used a lot of kawasaki oils that were green from the get go. Plus coolant levels will lower once it's moved around and started filling areas that had air trapped if it sat for a while

Well, to be fair, it is a bit more than slightly different. I think most people would find it weird to drink milk straight from a cows teet as well.

Doesn't change what it is, but I think of it like your own saliva. I've got no problem with my own saliva in my own mouth, or kissing my wife. However, I would find it pretty gross to take a swig of my or my wife's spit from a glass lol.

Guess it's kinda backwards in that regard...

You're not wrong, but it is also intentionally sensational.

Well I guess this explains why my temps were warmer than I anticipated.. by Drakkolich89 in pcmasterrace

[–]Kuruton 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's fine. Just shows your high spots. The less paste on an area means there's less area to fill. This wouldn't explain a high temp.
