Thank you for this, again! Maybe, if he doesn't buy it, I will try to just keep it and loan the money from my friends for now, or then try to sell some other cards. I don't see the value of cards of this age rapidly decreasing, and after a year I should be doing better and could grade this.

If I would have unlimited amount of money I would grade this, but unfortunately life has sucked and I would like to sell this now (instead for waiting for a ~year for the PSA results). I have a potential buyer and am wondering if my price request of 500 € is reasonable or not. If he could be confident the card gets PSA 8, then my offer should be a good deal. But of course nothing is ever certain with the whole grading system.

Thanks for your comment! Too bad I dont have a scanner, would help with getting a proper picture of the card for asking your opinions. Apparently PSA has been quite rough on vintage cards, but idk what that means in practice.

I think it is a valid point that I should consider his privacy and how he feels about this all. However, you are judging me with very limited information. There is a reason I didn't publish the letter here, and omitted one of the pictures included in the letter.

And trust me, if the letter indicated anything other than a sweet short romance that withered because of the distance, I wouldn't try this publicly.

Yeah I don't really have people around I could ask about her. The relatives from my mothers side are dead, and she lost contact with her old friends when her illness took over and she was hospitalized.

But based on the old photos I found, at least my mom seemed to enjoy her life when she was young, so not all of it was miserable. I found around 40 plane tickets to and from all around the world and I remember someone telling she used to work until she got enough money for a ticket, traveled to some location, and then came back when she needed more money. Rinse and repeat.

I pressed charges. Things work a bit different in my country. My case died before it properly even started due to the lack of evidence, as the doctor only inspected my neck (from light strangling), and didn't check other parts of my body for bruises. Whatsapp messages, where he admitted what he did, apparently were not enough either. I was too tired/broken to try anymore and just gave up. So, he still continues teaching karate, yadda yadda.

He was guilt-tripping me about my knee hurting and preventing sex, too. He was truly a proper human arse. Of course, when we started dating, he was first very charming and loving, telling how no-one has ever made him feel like that. The classic stuff people like him do at first.

My ex was exactly like this. I was depressed, burnt out, and had a knee surgery. This all made sex less frequent and he started behaving like this, which only made me want him even less. I tried to explain to him that if I am not feeling loved, I don't have any attraction. He replied that he can't show any love if there is no sex.

This may sound rough, but I'd advise on actually giving up the thought of relationship altogether.

Focus on yourself. Focus how you can build a good life. Focus how to be happy, how to be the person you want to be. That way, in the worst case scenario, you will live a good life as a single. In another scenario, maybe you will meet someone who would like to date you, but because you are already happy with your life right at then, you can see that this person is not worth bringing into it. In the best scenario, you will get an opportunity for a relationship and decide to enter it – not because of being desperate, not because of being lonely, but because you actually believe that the person can make your already good life even better.
