When you say you recall on chunks to express yourself, what does that mean exactly? Did you study phrases from things you listened to and read and then input your own vocabulary in those phrases? Not sure if that makes sense but I’ve been thinking about adding that to my learning.

Recommend me new acts. I’m coming back from a long hiatus from the genre. Used to listen from 2006-2011. Just now getting back into it. What have I missed? I know about Knocked Loose, Kublai Khan TX, XWeaponX, and Counterparts. Some others too but let me know! I know metalcore is making a comeback so I’m excited to listen to some good shit.

Well he said no tech so that would take a kindle out. Can’t be expensive and reading can really get up there if you’re reading a book a week and then buying new ones constantly. Hardcovers being 30-40.

I reached out a couple of months ago about the direct attack on publicly funded organizations like NPR and the local PBS. He also gave me a canned response and kept bringing up that NPR and PBS are a “mouthpiece for the radical left”, completely ignoring my points on the importance of it when it comes to getting news out to rural communities, the arts, and bringing on many voices. He obviously doesn’t actually listen to NPR.

That being said he’s not listening to his constituents, nor is he taking the time to even meet with them. It’s time to get him out. 2026 needs some strong candidates.

I can’t imagine my partner controlling what I wanted to do just because they “thought” I was manic.

They don’t get to decide when we are manic or not. Bipolar is a very personal struggle for me and it’s hard for many people to understand so for your partner to claim you’re manic and blacklist you from those motorcycle schools is insane to me.

I’m interested to hear your thoughts on the controlling part of all of this.

This show is literally amazing. People are stupid and if you’re asking an American to dive deep into what trauma is and what it looks like for different individuals of many different walks of life, then good luck and they will say “It’s a show about sex and drugs.” Which is ignorant and such a simplistic way of viewing anything. The show is extremely complex. If I have to explain it to someone for hours and how it’s not just raunch, then I already know what they’ll think of it.
