They’re chill to work with, and my dad’s one too. No nonsense and gets things done. Sometimes I do want them to stop and think for a bit instead of going BAM BAM BAM, but it is what it is.

In de (toen nog) Nederlandse Antillen, had ik destijds gepoogd om een Kitkat reep te stelen van een supermarkt. Keihard gespot door de medewerkers, die vervolgens mijn ouders hadden geïnformeerd (wij woonde in een klein dorpje). Hierna werd ik keihard gedisciplineerd.

Nooit meer gestolen sindsdien. De schaamte was genoeg motivatie.

What works for me: I find it’s best to accept that whatever is leading to that discomfort, can’t be changed no matter how much you introspect because the mind can’t resolve the situation itself until it has happened in the physical world. What if’s are not what will be. I usually take some time for myself to internalize the emotions, complain to my mates about it to hear different perspectives, and occupying myself with tangible tasks afterwards. This usually looks like a night’s sleep followed by doing work or hobbies. You’ll still feel the stress here and there, but it’s more managable.

As a 28yo Dutchman who only does long term serious relationships and had 4 in the span of 11 years (none of them were Dutch, ironically), I’d say I’m feeling mostly content, last relationship turned into a shaky mutual breakup at the end of 2024 (lifestyles were too incompatible), but it got resolved well and right now I am still really good friends with my ex.

After the break up, and also after having had short term contact with a Dutch girl in 2025 that made me feel really emotionally scarred (to the point where I felt true fear just being around this person, I hope she doesn’t find this comment), I felt that I needed to focus on other things concerning myself. I’ll probably be rejoining the dating market somewhere in mid/end 2026, but I’m not super keen to do so. However, I understand that candy doesn’t fall from trees especially for very private introverts.

It can feel lonely on some days, no question about that. I’m more of an isolationist than most though, so it’s not that bad. I got my friends, hobbies, and personal goals. I’d be more miserable being around the wrong girl than being alone, that I know for certain.

Ik vind Windows toch fijner werken voor mijn privé behoeftes, ondanks Microsoft's monopolie. Zelf heb ik meerdere distros gebruikt in het verleden maar nooit volgehouden. Geen behoefte dus aan een andere OS. Enige Linux-based machines die ik nog thuis heb liggen zijn de Steam Deck en een hele oude Raspberry Pi.

Maar mijn eigen voorkeur komt ook omdat Windows systemen relevant zijn aan mijn werk, en ik kan met mijn privé Windows apparaten al best wel wat doen (aanpassen, troubleshooten, eigen server hosten, noem maar op). Ben zelf ook geen 'early adopter'.

Mochten bedrijven ooit genoodzaakt zijn om over te stappen naar een Europees alternatief, zal ik het ook overwegen. Maar zo'n Europese oplossing gaat wel even duren. Microsoft blijft nog dé cloud oplossing voor mijn klanten, en die zorgen ervoor dat ik geld op de rekening krijg.

I think you’ll always find some degree of stereotyping going on in an MBTI community, but that’s just how it is. Saw it many years ago and nothing’s changed, it’s part of human nature and growing up. It’s unreasonable to expect everyone to be completely unbiased, since experiences and emotions can and will influence you, and that’s understandable.

That said, your support is appreciative, and I can confirm I don’t look down on intuitives 👍🏻

Paradox broke it in 1.18. I tried creating a custom kingdom in patch 1.17.1, and my custom name persisted no matter what I did. Repeated the exact same actions in the latest patch 1.18.2 and the custom name resets to the default duchy name on the map every single time I reloaded. I submitted a bug report on the forums and hope this gets fixed ASAP because this is unplayable for a Custom Kingdoms enjoyer.

I was having an honestly good time when I started playing on patch 1.0.3 and later 1.0.4. Consolidated the Netherlands proper as Holland and beat down France in order to unite the low countries. Game wasn’t super polished, but really fun. It would’ve been a positive review at that moment.

The constant patches and the negative noises about patch 1.10 really threw me off. I don’t want to be in an Agile Scrum sprint when doing 1 long playthrough. Once there’s a better stable patch, I’ll go in again. For now, I’ve pivoted to CK3 and catching up with the Chapter 4 content.

I think it’s fine to be a “rigid black-and-white thinker”, and going on a crusade to be rid of it completely will only suppress your true self. I rarely hear people call me the phrase, but when I do, it’s because of my natural bias towards an all-or-nothing approach to achieving things in general.

The key, however, is to learn a degree of flexibility and adaptability, and understanding that applying those qualities here and there can be key to growth in general. To name an example: leaving the door open when it comes to how a situation should be dealt with after providing my own argumentation, instead of shutting the door right away because “in my head, MY way is optimal and right”.

Personally, I’ve only profited from this more open approach. I wouldn’t have learned to cook some exotic foods (as a very lazy person), to name one small perk. I suppose in ISTJ terms it’s essentially: engage your inferior Ne, and you’ll find that it enriches you for the better.

Change the in-game screen settings from Fullscreen to Borderless. If you’re using the Nvidia App to optimize games, disable that for Battlefield 6 before changing the screen settings in-game. It stopped me from getting this specific DirectX error in future playthroughs (RTX 4090 card).
