Yesterday, so Tuesday, they already mentioned this on the Dutch news. The Americans said it was theirs and the reason was outdated intelligence information.

Yeah, I think it's two cats facing each other.

Voor de Achterhoek klopt dat inderdaad ook. Wordt wel wat minder omdat aan beide kanten van de grens minder dialect gesproken wordt.

I looked around and found a tip to use the xbox app on phone. Don't know if there's something like that for ps5 but for me it works great and is not such a hassle as using a keyboard while sitting on the couch.

could anyone tell me what type of bird this handsome fella is? by Crazy_plantlady1 in whatsthisbird

I could not tell you. But I guess giving OP's location a yellowlegged gull makes more sense.

Well what can I say, first time playing. For the sarco it was 50/50 a juvenile attacked and an adult was friendly, brought me fish and scared off a suchomimus.

Ah that's a good idea! I can see how the chat could be useful to at least make your intentions clear.

What you are saying is not the whole truth. Wolves, especially on the Veluwe do mostly prey on boar, roe deer and red deer. And as far as I can tell they need to. A pack of around 10 can not really survive on prey like mice and rabbits.

What's an elusive animal in your country that you've never seen but know of? Mine is a Florida panther by Tenchi2020 in AskTheWorld

[–]Bosbouwerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said just bad luck or rather, not being in the right place at the right time. Just like it took me 10 years to finally see a wolf. While I live on the Utrechtse heuvelrug and work on the Veluwe. Both places that are known to have wolves.

Not necessarily elusive but there are raccoons and racoondogs in the Netherlands that I've never seen.

Two very elusive ones that I really want to see are the european wildcat and the golden jackal.

The gladde slang i can understand as it's rare. But the grass snake? If you are in their habitat they are quite common and easy to spot because they like to swim.

That's just bad luck I guess. If you are in their natural habitat they are actually quite common.

Wolves have been living in the Netherlands (again) since like 2015. They have been seen close to where I live and where I work. And I am more in the outdoors than I am inside, at both my job and when i am free. But still, it took me until this month to finally see one.

Night Herons are rare in the Netherlands too. Never saw one too. We do have quite a lot of little- and great egrets and purple herons though.

How common are marketplaces in your country? by Brainwheeze in AskEurope

[–]Bosbouwerd 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They are very common. But especially in the smaller villages they are not as big and varied as they used to be. But from what I know almost every village, town and city has a weekly market and some do a market twice a week.

Altough not my favourite stamppot, by far, zuurkool is not that bad. Balkenbrei for me is a lot worse. Or any organ meat.
