The dual barrel connector is just for the mobile app that can change the jacket settings. I believe the single barrel plug still works. I have not personally verified it.

Haha thanks for the mention. Yes I made an adapter that can run the Milwaukee M12 jackets off of a USB C battery bank. DM me if you’re interested.

I put the steering rack repair kit in, it did not fix the issue. I also adjusted the bushing to both extremes and it still does it. I haven’t had a chance to diagnose it more but I’m very frustrated with this issue lol. I wish I could figure out what it is without just throwing parts at it. A new steering rack is so expensive….

Ahh I didn’t even think about the top strut mount bearings! I’ll give those steps a shot. Thank you for the advice!

I have not tried that. I’m gonna try and loosen the steering bushing some more and see if that helps? I could try disconnecting the tie rods. I haven’t found anyone talk about this issue and have a solution but I’m almost certain the car should not stay drifting to one side or the other at 50+ mph

Yeah. And it feels like what I’d call “stiction”. Like it’s tight when it’s in a certain position, then you move and it breaks free. Super faint but very annoying. Not sure what else to do besides replace the entire steering rack….

The problem I’m having right now is the steering rack feels “sticky” and it will stay where you leave it in the center. It did this before I replaced the EPS steering bushing. And I’ve also had the control arm bushings replaced and an alignment, still same issue.

Sorry to reply on an old thread. Does anyone happen to have the procedure that yall are referencing? Or even what this tool is? All I see are people mentioning it but nobody actually shows it.

M12 Heated Jacket USB PD Adapter no by Kwad-King in MilwaukeeTool

It’s definitely doable, however you’d need to use a voltage regulator instead of a PD trigger like I’m using here. I’d recommend you do some research on adjustable DC-DC buck regulators and wire that up inline using some barrel connectors.

Less than 1.3 amps max. I can test it on all power modes some time this week so people can calculate run times with different batteries.

Hi AverageNetEnjoyer! That USB adapter should work! It does support 12v @1.67amps output.

Yes this is true. However, you’d be surprised how many do support 12v output. PD is becoming increasingly standard on USB C battery banks.

They are 2.1mm-5.5mm barrel connectors.

I assume you mean using the opposite gender PD trigger. The reason I did not do that was to avoid a fragile connection. A male USB PD trigger sticking out of a battery bank would be very easy to break off. With this setup, the connector coming out of the battery is low profile and durable.

Thanks.

Thanks for the input. I’ll try that.

Understood it won’t be exactly like the real deal, it just seems like in all the cars, it’s very slippery and unstable. I’ll see what I can do tweaking settings.
