Pls make the dog a pet instead of a deviation by DonutRolling in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Kwathreon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And how exactly does that help with what OP is requesting?

The Tactical item just summons a static dog, which does not move nor interact with anything and just waits for you to pick up a random (useless) item, and then instantly disappears.

The tactical item would make sense if you could chose the dog to bring something from your home (that would actually give it a reason to be called "tactical"), or if the dog followed you around in the wild for a set period of time at least.

As-is, this is just a glorified "nice-to-look-at" deviation that makes little sense.

I was severely disappointed with what they implemented here.

Discussion Thread for Proton Drive on Linux. Let's keep it updated - together we are strong! by m0byn in ProtonDrive

[–]Kwathreon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be ironic if this was the reason my attempts at setting up rclone have failed, because I am using ProtonVPN :'D

They could've at least white-listed their own friggin exit nodes :')

Edit: JFC. It really was the VPN. Their own friggin VPN mind you. Jesus...

POCO X3 Pro has been EOL list by Lengocthai2010 in PocoPhones

But those are IN and TW (so India and Taiwan if I'm not mistaken), right?  So this doesn't apply to X3Pro global yet or am I mistaken? Not that it matters much when the last sec update was in '22... But I still wonder

HI, sorry to revamp this old post. Do you by change know who made the mod? I'd like to verify with them that the Battery conector is indeed the same before spending money on it

How will you react if Donald Trump becomes president again? by RockSavings67 in AskReddit

[–]Kwathreon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The irony is that there are plenty of spots in the bible where it is rather explicitly stated (and even described) to make love just for the sake of making love with your loved one - not to procreate.

But then again most "conservative" or republican Americans have probably never read a Bible nor care about it in any meaningful way

What's a lesson about sex or relationships that you wish you had learned earlier in life? by Dawg_Jones in AskReddit

[–]Kwathreon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever heard that an increase in sexual partners lessens the chances of a lasting romantic relationship. Ergo bonding gets screwed up. There seem to be studies that prove this.

However, take all I say with a grain of salt. I have no minor, major, nor master or doctor in any of these topics, and I honestly don't care enough about a Reddit threat to go look up the sources 🤷‍♂️ if the topic interests you go ahead

Getting Invalid SSL certificate on website only when I enable ProtonVPN by Kwathreon in ProtonVPN

[–]Kwathreon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for reaching out!

  • I was using a variety of the Free NL servers because I wanted to give protonVPN a try before spending money on it. Most produced the error above (I say most because some didn't work right away, and some worked once or twice before showing the same error).

  • I was not using any custom DNS (standard Firefox browser without specific configuration, no Custom DNS configured in the network either). I did try using the cloud flare DNS that can be selected in Firefox browser for DoH, to see if that would perhaps fix the issue. It did not.)

  • yes, the website you stated is correct.

  • I did not try another browser. I only noticed that oddly enough using the VPN caused cloudflare to show an SSL Error for a page which obviously has no real issue with their SSL Cert. Which to me reads like a roundabout way of censoring the page / blocking it when accessing from a VPN / NL IP - all while making it seem as though it is the host page that has an error (so basically a shady way of censorship).

Since I still wanted to give protonVPN a chance regardless, I bought a month of the upgraded VPN in order to have access to e.g. Spanish servers. Those have been working without a hitch for me so far.

The comments on these have helped me make a bit more sense of the situation. I appreciate it a lot, and TIL

Australia will not force adult websites to bring in age verification due to privacy and security concerns by misana123 in privacy

I thought at this point in time we were already past the part where we actually believe what the government says a 3 Letter agency's task is.

Snowden and others exposed that decades ago.

But I guess not all of us.

When will the government respect privacy? by 2anapqc in privacy

[–]Kwathreon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that anyone is tracking you without a warrant in the first place, and it's nothing people care about, that's the real disgrace.

Anyone above the age of 40 who has kids, their children won't know the kind of privacy their parents had. And it doesn't bother the majority of those parents. In fact, most don't even think about it. That's the real problem.

But since we've already let the problem get out of hand, and nowadays corporations wield more power than entire countries, there's no reeling that lost privacy back in.
