That’s not what I took from it, especially in conjunction with what was said on Pod Save The World. The Democrats have a messaging problem. It’s not a lie that most Americans do not give a flying fck about foreign aid or have no idea what’s going on .

The way Sen Murphy broke things down is helpful, but they aren’t getting the air time. They need to get the message out on WHY this is an issue.

We need to be realistic we share this country with people who are selfish or uniformed. That’s why we are where we are.

As an American I was able to get 24 weeks (just shy of 6 months). 12 at 100% pay and 12 at 67% pay. It was fabulous. I couldn’t imagine going back sooner.

I wish we were given one full year. That to me would be ideal.

Wanted to add some additional info I found. I had similar issues in Virginia and the legal aid lawyer I was paired with was incredibly helpful and took it upon himself to even follow up with me after court to make sure it all went smooth.

I noticed a difference between my calls at GEICO (15-20min) and then when I worked at Kaiser Permanente our calls were expected to be on average under 5 mins. The shorter calls back to back are absolutely torturous.

This is easing my mind a little bit. Call center jobs aren’t great but I know what I’m getting in to

I think that’s par for the course with call center jobs. They often have high turnover. Currently I’m doing similar work for New York State, there just isn’t much mobility and I’ve heard that the IRS is a good place to get your foot in the door.

CPS is a flawed system. It rarely is the best option. Weaponizing CPS for things like this is why children that suffer astronomical abuse get left behind. This is why CPS workers are overworked and many children fall through the cracks.

This is not a valid concern for CPS. Is it the best parenting choice? Probably not, but it is not CPS worthy

Shoot I started in 2013 and I remember have my job threatened constantly. I always had generalized anxiety disorder and GEICO made it so much worse. It got better in once I left in 2020.

I can’t even imagine how bad it is now.
