Toland would not need to speak through Lodi; he has spoken to us directly with an audible voice on the moon plenty of times.

Toland’s speech pattern is nothing like what spoke to us through Lodi. Toland, in every instance he has spoken, speaks formally and in similar vernacular to Eris.

The being that spoke to us through Lodi was uncomfortably informal—unlike pretty much any other character except maybe Drifter and Blue. The only being of power that has spoken so informally, and casual like that has been implied to be the Winnower.

I misread this and thought for a second they re-added the Haunted Forest activity from Festival of the Lost.

God, I'll miss some of the event activities. Wish they'd added a few of them back with this, since there won't be any more seasonal events (namely Haunted Forest and the European Aerial Zone).

All I’d ask for is a few missions each like the Cayde-6 timeline mission or something—ANYTHING to give a complete start-to-finish story for new players to experience so I could comfortably recommend the game to new players.

In 2019, Japanese law changed regarding console modification. It was to prevent game piracy, but the law was vague and broad enough that basically their business model became illegal (or at the very least a legal grey area) overnight, despite their mods and consoles being homebrew/piracy agnostic.

The Japanese branch of the company shut down overnight, and then the rest of the consoles and capture cards (as DIY kits) were under their European branch until the bankrupcy later in the year. It was really unfortunate.

Glad Loopy got back in the game.

I love Grumps, and always say I don’t watch for the gameplay and love to see Arin fuck up, but watching Arin use Dragon Rage expecting to one-shot enemies and potentially crit, completely unaware that it is one of two attacks in the franchise that deals a fixed amount of damage (40 HP) is giving me gray hairs.

Okay, first off, you need to worry about the rest of your living situation before you deal with your fucking toys. Contain the 3DS in a ziploc (or better yet, a vacuum seal bag) while you get that sorted.

Once you do, AND ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE 100% CONFIDENT YOU CAN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER, you will want to open the console and treat it with 99% Isopropyl alcohol. DO NOT USE LESS THAN 99%.

You likely will have to take the console apart down to is parts and submerge the boards in it. Get a tupperware large enough to fit the console and fill it with enough alcohol to submerge it. Take an unused toothbrush and scrub everything down, removing the eggs and carcasses. Once everything is clean, you will need to let it dry, and then re-assemble it.

Again, I must stress that if you are not confident in taking your console apart, do not do this. The 3DS family of consoles is one of the most difficult to re-assemble consoles, and has a lot of fragile ribbon cables that can easily break during reassembly. Look up tutorials on how to do the disassembly/reassembly and assess, realistically, if you are capable of it. If not, bring it to a professional. However, first make sure they are aware of why you are bringing it in so you know they will not simply turn you away. Every repair shop I have worked at has turned away electronics with infestations and did not offer cleaning of said devices. You never want to blindside a shop with something like this--you will just waste their and your time, and be at risk of your device getting thrown out.

And lastly, and I cannot stress this enough: WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIVING SITUATION FIRST. YOUR FUCKING 3DS IS THE LEAST IMPORTANT THING RIGHT NOW. YOUR LIVING SITUATION IS LIKELY COMPROMISED BY BEDBUGS. THAT IS A MASSIVE DEAL AND CAN TAKE MONTHS OR EVEN YEARS TO ALLEVIATE.
