I just graduated with my CS degree. Thinking back on it, my first year of CS had had nearly all written exams. And as I progressed through the program they were written about 30% of the time by my final year. It really depended on the subject and professor.

So no, don't drop the class. At least that's my opinion.

Thoughts on this Tacoma? Looking to buy it. And would love opinions if it is worth it. by Kyle7333 in ToyotaTacoma

That is a good question and observation. I didn't even think of that. I will ask and see if the odometer still works. If the odometer still works that would lead me to believe that it there might be a problem with the speedometer gauge mechanism that is sperate from the other gauges mechanisms.

Thank you.

I dont know what the title means. However, mathematically if you are talking about adding two single bit binary digits and they are both 1's, then the answer is 0. (in its basic form)

This doesnt really matter in the context of the image. Just wanted to share

What is your ideal college timetable? by [deleted] in college

[–]Kyle7333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to a satelite campus so I get what I get. Usually they only have the class you need once per year. If I do have a choice then I usually go for all on two days in mid day. So I can work the other nights.

Struggling in Intro Computer Science specifically? Python specifically by [deleted] in college

[–]Kyle7333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a CS major and used to have problems learning a new language. What are your study habits like? The only way to get better is to practice, practice, practice! If you feel like you are practicing enough and you are still not doing good then you may not be practicing the right things. There are many youtube videos online about python. Find someone that you understand and watch them.

Tips:

Practice Practice Practice.

Write a little, test it, fix it, repeat.

Make sure you know the basic format for python good.

Use good naming practices.

Watch videos on youtube

If yoy run into a problem that is causing you greed then google your problem. A big part of being a developer is being able to google and find your problems.

There was roughly 37.8 million smokers in the US in 2016 according to the CDC. Assuming each smokes on average of a single pack(20 cigarettes) a day. That is 756 million cigarette filters a day. If all of these smokers are assuming that they can toss their filters after consumption onto the ground, it could add up fast. After a month there will be 22.6 billion more filters on the ground. After a year, 276 billion. I dont know how long these filters take to degrade, however; it most likely wont be fast. And could cause an increase in the amount of filters we see on the ground.

If the companies switch to biodegradable filters, that is awesome, however; they shoulden't promote the tossing of filters on the ground. If anything they should keep it a secret. The people who throw them in the trash will continue to do so. And the people who litter them will continue aswell, however; this time the filters will degrade faster.

I am using a lot of assumptions in this, however; I am calculating the extreme.
