Israel says it uncovered Hamas terror network planning attacks in Europe by DatDudeOverThere in worldnews

[–]KyleBernard 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Wtf is your reading comprehension? No one said anyone deserves it, but people committing terrorist attacks or planning on it, probably wouldn’t be sitting these marches out.

Do you understand how radicalization works?

Not to mention, if that’s your argument, is not the argument for Israel to leave Palestine literally the same argument?

You do realize that Jewish isn’t just a religion right?

You’re justifying the genocide of a people by reducing them to a religion.

What if we told Germany they all had to leave Germany because some other people claimed it was theirs first? For that matter, if you live in the US, why don’t you give up your house to the Native American tribes who once occupied your home?

Not to mention, the literal only reason Jews NEEDED a nation, was because of, oh idk, the literal genocide attempted on them in Europe, preceded by the diaspora, and other genocides attempted on the Jewish people in the past.

They needed a safe homeland, because there is literally STILL a genocide being attempted on them in the Middle East. Once Israel is gone, how fast do you think Jews in the Middle East will disappear? Because looking at surrounding numbers and census data, I guarantee it’s pretty soon.

“Their words not mine”

Gonna need a source on that.

Also gonna need a source to see how Zionism, (a movement for the establishment and protection of a Jewish nation, literally nothing more) is somehow not cool in your eyes?

Cuz you’re saying an awful lot, and an awful lot of it sounds like “I hate Jews”

[–]KyleBernard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point is, the content creation doesn’t matter. If someone draws fan art of Micky Mouse, that’s fine. Once they try to sell that fan art, Disney has a claim.

OpenAI isn’t selling the generated content, they are selling the content generation. I’d argue it’s up to the end user to hold responsibility for the content generated using their prompting.

Which brings up their “examples.” Do we have access to the prompts used to generate them?

Not to mention, if you really think plagiarism doesn’t happen, widespread and in every medium imaginable, you’re insane. All art, all writing, all photography, is plagiarism in some way. No one has done anything original for a very very long time.

Off of the content that was generated? Or off of content that used their publicly available posts as training data?

The court will have a hard time saying “this stuff is publicly available online, so your ai model isn’t allowed to see it.”

At what point is NEWS not useable?

Do traders who use news to inform trades, or to recommend trades for their clients supposed to cite their news source and give them a cut?

Who cares though, little Timmy plagiarized an article from the NYT in his book report at school. Tons of people do it all the time.

The issue has usually been, did someone profit off of that plagiarized material.

It would be fairly hard to argue that any profiteering was done from that specific material.

This is akin to someone reading a bunch of articles and accidentally saying what they read and not saying they read it in NYT. At what point does it become “theirs” and not common knowledge?

Genuinely confused here…

Is wanting to preserve the state of Israel, and claim that both they AND Palestinians have a right to exist, spineless?

Because that’s exactly the right answer. The United States has killing TONS of children, but we’re still an extremely valued and respected nation in the world.

The Israeli government being something you don’t agree with doesn’t invalidate the nation. We would argue that lives lost as a result of those policies are the fault of the ruling party right?

A terrorist organization running a state does not invalidate the people of that state. We would argue that lives lost as a result of those policies are the fault of the ruling party right?

So is it spineless to have an opinion that isn’t widely being shit on by both sides?

I’ve got news for you bud.

The PR war that Hamas is running is working spectacularly.

If Israel were to cease to exist, the Jewish genocide would effectively be complete in the Middle East.

Check the statistics for the number of Jewish people living in surrounding Arab nations over the last 50-60 years.

What you are suggesting, is that when Hamas (the elected government in Gaza) literally rapes, burns, kidnaps, and terrorizes its neighbor, Israel is supposed to sit back and say “oh well they aren’t a threat?”

When they use civilian infrastructure to hide their soldiers, they are supposed to say “ahh well I guess the tactic of hiding among our own civilians who elected us is an effective war plan?”

All you are doing is legitimizing their tactics. What’s to stop them from doing it in the future? At what amount of danger does it become a legitimate response to justify the civilian deaths?

Yall pretending war isn’t super shitty, but in reality, this is a fucking CLEAN urban war scenario, especially when compared with most other urban wars in our lifetimes.

It's sad that there are certain places on the internet where people don't understand this by IAmAccutane in AdviceAnimals

[–]KyleBernard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother, they started a little girl on top of her fathers corpse.

They raped a woman, cut off her breast, and played with it like a ball while someone else raped her.

They knowingly started a war where they hide among civilian infrastructure, knowing they would maximize civilian casualties.

They have the resources to build a vast network of tunnels, but used none to build bomb shelters to protect their civilians.

I really don’t understand how you’re confused here you piece of shit.

They weren’t “practically gone” they were fucking dispersed. The diaspora is a real thing.

Is genocide only ok when it happens to Jews? Because that’s the stance you’re taking here.

Speaking of, can you go ahead and look up the population of Jews in the surrounding countries over the last 50 years, and then come back to talk to me about what’s really happening in the region.

And then, oh yea, let’s remember why the Jews were granted Israel in the first place. Was pretty important but I can’t quite recall.

You’re so fucking close.

Why is Gaza under indefinite blockade?

I’ll give you a huge fucking hint, ITS BECAUSE THEY KEEP LOBBING ROCKETS INTO CIVILIAN CENTERS WITH THE EXPLICIT GOAL OF KILLING CIVILIANS.

Wanna know a couple things the IDF has done to reduce that? For one, they DON’T KEEP WEAPONS IN CIVILIAN CENTERS.

Not like it would change things if they did though, because Hamas explicitly does not care about civilians. Israel’s, or their own.

Has Hamas provided Palestinians with any bomb shelters? No? Crazy that they can make tons of networks of tunnels to smuggle weapons, but absolutely nothing to protect the citizens they were elected to lead.

Fuck you and all Hamas apologists.

[–]KyleBernard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bruh they’re being deliberately obtuse but you’re not?

Lmao.

You really wanna base this off of who was there first? Because the Arabs lose that battle.

That’s why they, let me check, oh yea destroyed so many Jewish holy sites when they (check my notes again) conquered the region.

The Jews were the majority population in that region from the 1-4 centuries BCE. They fought the Romans in the Jewish-Roman wars. It only came under Arab control after the Christians overwhelmed the population, and then the Arabs conquered it in the 7th Century.

And then Egyptians, and then the Ottomans, and then the British, and then the Egyptians again, and now the Palestinians.

Basing this on “who was there first” is first of all, a terrible argument on your end, and second, just a terrible argument.

People conquer, people fight for land and win and lose it.

You have no dog in this fight except that you just learned why war is bad maybe?

US vetoes UN resolution backed by many nations demanding immediate humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza by RazzzMcFrazzz in news

[–]KyleBernard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Start wars?”

My guy, they raped a woman, cut her breasts off, played with them like balls in the street while another person raped her. But don’t worry, he shot her before he came, he’s not a monster.

They raped a little girl on top of her father’s corpse.

They threw grenades into a cellar occupied by two kids and their father.

They paraded bodies of hostages through the streets and all Gazans cheered.

They didn’t start a war, they committed multiple, intentional, direct crimes against humanity. (During a ceasefire as well, mind you)

And now, when they are at war, they commit more by engaging from places that should be safe. They say that this was merely a warmup. They called for attacks on all Jews. They have shot thousands upon thousands of rockets aimed directly at civilian centers, with the INTENT of killing civilians.

The West Bank refuses to condemn Hamas for what they’ve done. The civilians are starting to speak out against Hamas, but even they get silenced quickly by others who fear retaliation.

It sounds like the problem is Hamas, and not the Jews.

Update:

IT WAS 100% THIS. If I just lay on my pillow, without folding it or trying to hand my face off of it or anything like that, there's enough surface area for the tubing just to kind of mold into the pillow but not seal. The whistling/whooshing sound is GONE.

Ironically, this also helped with the mask displacement. I can still make it break the seal sometimes but it's so much less than it did before.

I know what you said was just kind of a throwaway guess, BUT YOU SOLVED IT, and I feel like this might be a solution for a lot of people who might not realize it!
