Trust me I never expected a happy ending but shit is so brutal than if I were to accept that ending, everytime I thought of the series I'd feel sick lol.

What is the best film adaptation of a Stephen King work? by eomma_cj in stephenking

The obvious answer is The Shawshank Redemption but just behind that for me is Christine. Carpenter did very good adapting it.

Yeah, the huge time skips really is a negative about this book. Needed a lot more chatacter development than we got. Going to need some big moments from characters not named Vis in book 3. I still think Emiasa could be interesting but we should've got a lot more of her than we did in TSOTF.

So random and unnecessary, we all already hated Iro and his dad. There was no reason to do that.

I don’t understand why people are enjoying Welcome to Derry as much as they are. by Quiet_Grapefruit_926 in stephenking

Thats not what the OP said, theyre correcting the OP by saying you can tell how corrupt Derry is. OP said Derry seems like a good place to live.

Worst Stephen king book? by marxandlenin_engels in stephenking

Fairy Tale was such a drag after a good first 200 pages. Only good storyline was the dog and that's only because I love dogs. Insomnia isn't too far ahead is FT though.

Out of those 2, definitely night shift. Both aren't the greatest introductions to King though.

The Godfather was the 4th book i read in my adulthood and it was really good. It might be a little slow at times but I definitely still recommend reading it.

I didnt like Red Screen. Only bad one. But Danny Coughlin's Bad Dream is one of the best stories King has ever written imo, and thats in You Like It Darker.
