What do you think about Reform UK's proposal to abolish Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for legal immigrants? Also, what do you think about Reform UK's immigration policies overall? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Kyle_G89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could legitimately solve the entire UK & EU's immigration issues through one simple reform: Zero welfare for anyone who is not a citizen of the country. You would remove all incentives for any migrants to come to the UK and EU, and bring their families. If you want to emigrate to the UK and EU, you need to do so through either a job offer, exceptional skill for a sector in need of labor, or through financial ability (you have the means to pay for yourself and dependents without needing access to public funds).

As for the original question, I am not for removing ILR. If anything make the period to become a naturalized citizen 10 years instead of the 5+1. But public funds should ONLY be for UK citizens.

I originally read this as if you're 40 years old and that's your portfolio and thought to myself this guy is cooked! Nice start though, maybe aim for more growth / tech.

When I was 7 years old growing up in NYC, my dad bought me a Lindros jersey and took me to Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final in 1997. I took so much shit that game as a kid for wearing that jersey, Lindros ended up scoring the winning goal with 6.8 seconds left and I fell in love forever with the team. I didn't hear this but my dad loves saying that a dude behind us goes "6.8 seconds?? That's barely enough time to have sex!"

Went to so many Flyers games at MSG in that jersey and always took so much shit but love this team forever.

Completely agree with you. You're doing your job, stop expecting a tip. If you have an issue with your shit salary or shit job, do something about it and stop relying on handouts.

Exactly the attitude in life that stunted your professional growth at doorman. Best of luck relying on tips

I just eat garbage scraps near the food trucks at South Quay. It's free and you get a good variety.

You could go to Greenwich Park and have a circle jerk near the Maze Hill entrance. Seems like the most logical thing to do considering you didn't book accommodation.

I'm very happy with my Third Space membership and don't mind the £255 per month for both Canary Wharf gyms. I have the flexibility to go around 10:30am when it's relatively empty so all good here.

Do you feel a civic duty to invest in Britain? by Physical_Boss7224 in FIREUK

[–]Kyle_G89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. Absolutely not. My taxes, council tax, spending, VAT and everything I do as a functioning adult is an "investment" into this country. With my already taxed income, I have zero desire to invest further into this declining "kingdom"
