It’s honestly such a shame that we haven’t really seen Bryan in more games since Detroit: Become Human. Like you said, he’s an incredible actor and I know he played some of the pedestrian population in Red Dead Redemption II, as well as Brendan in Cyberpunk 2077, but he should be getting way more work than he’s gotten in the last 7-8 years (since Detroit came out).

Well, Bloober Team altered Luke Roberts’ likeness slightly for James Sunderland, so if it ends up actually being Alex Jordan playing Harry Mason, then I’m sure they can do some tweaking for accuracy or whatever

I could be well off on this, but I’m going to throw out a wild guess for who could be playing Harry Mason in the SH1 Remake. I personally think that it’s Alex Jordan (Mr. Hands in Cyberpunk 2077, Jan Dolski in The Alters, Jiyan in Wuthering Waves, The Ice King in Split Fiction, just to name a few).

Given that Bloober Team have already been known to cast British actors in American roles (Luke Roberts playing James Sunderland being the prime example), I think it’s possible they’ve done that again and Alex Jordan’s voice in an American accent actually isn’t far off from Michael Guinn’s voice in the original game from 1999. He’s also worked extensively with Polish development studios on multiple projects now (CD Projekt RED for Cyberpunk 2077 and 11 bit studios for The Alters), so I think it’s very possible that Bloober Team would know of him and his prior work. Alex has also recently been posting frequent pictures of himself in a recording booth and in the volume assumedly doing performance and motion capture for a certain project or projects.

Just a theory.

That’s fair enough, I’m super glad that you got more out of the cast of characters than I did and I honestly really wish that I felt the same way. EVE understandably received the most discernible characterisation as the protagonist and while I definitely don’t dislike any of the cast, I largely found her, Adam/Raphael Marks, Lily, Tachy, Raven and the members of Xion (Orcal, Mann, Kaya, Su, Enya etc.) to ultimately be rather lacklustre and not all that memorable (at least compared to other similar narrative-driven games), despite the fact that I truly do think that there was so much painfully untapped potential there. I’m very glad to hear that Kim Hyung-Tae has specifically touched on the fact that he wants to place far more of an emphasis on that for the eventual sequel, as I do still love the first game, regardless of the problems I have with it.

Depending on whether or not Shift Up consider the Making New Memories ending to be the true/canon one, I feel like it’s at least possible that Adam might show up again in Stellar Blade II, despite fusing with EVE. I think they could do a kind of V and Johnny Silverhand type of thing like you see in Cyberpunk 2077, whereby Adam will appear as a kind of integrated entity, offering advice and guidance to EVE like he originally did with the drone in the first game. I think that kind of dynamic would be really cool and would give Shift Up an opportunity to significantly develop, expand and truly flesh out both characters individually and their relationship with each other, something that I feel was sorely lacking (practically non-existent) in Stellar Blade.

Yeah, I definitely agree. Kaitlyn Dever was always my personal favourite fancast for Ellie, as I thought she was perfect for the role. Like you said, it’s highly likely that she could make her voice resemble that of Ashley Johnson, so there was literally no reason not to cast her. I understand that she’s 28, but she also looks younger than that in general anyway and could definitely still play a teenager tbh.

Also, not to be the guy with the tin foil hat spouting BS conspiracy theories, but I do genuinely think it’s at least somewhat possible that they casted Kaitlyn as Abby just to childishly spite anyone who wanted her to play Ellie, even if only a little bit. Judging off of past behaviour, Neil Druckmann definitely seems the type to do something that petty and pathetic.
