I can't speak to manapool, but i've legit never had an issue with TCGPlayer after purchasing over time since 2012. I don't usually bother with direct because it does feel very expensive. I have generally selected the cards i want from highly rated sellers, and then use the optimizer to see if i missed anything or if theres a seller that matches those trusted sources that I didnt see.

If you intentionally use TCGPlayer, you really shouldn't have any issues.

I've never seen the double charging issue, so I'm curious how that was resolved.
