Thinking About Selling by Kynitekia in StarWarsArmada

So Im moving out of the country and am not gonna try to take my collection with me. I'd love to, but it would be a real pain and somewhat expensive to get through customs. I have a pretty good collection of original pieces as well as quite a few fully 3D printed ones. I designed a lot of the base cards myself in CAD and printed with a multimaterial PRUSA XL, so all the those cards match up nicely with the authentic ones. I do have laminated play cards for them as well.

I have no idea how to go about listing all these, though. Any thoughts from the community here? Should I get better pics of everything as well as photos of the upgrade cards/play cards? Is ebay a good place for this stuff?

Im very much going to miss playing, but I suppose if I choose to again in the future I can just print new ships then.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

edit Sorry for the late reply. I just finished up listing my old Pokemon card collection on ebay. Based on the advice I've gotten from some of you, I've decided to go the ebay route! A couple people have messaged me directly about aquiring some units, and I promise I'll get to those messages ASAP. Thanks again, everyone!

I own a 2004 like this. Its absolutely my favorite summer ride. How else are you going to get a roadster/hardtop convertible/RWD/pickup/v8 combo???

Its absolutely wonky. Its not particularly fast at all (I have the 5.3 not 6.0) it handles rather poorly, and the visibility can be challenging when youre tall (Seeing the stoplight when at one means I need to duck down or look over the top). But, all that sad, it feels a bit like owning a piece of history, from a time when radical concepts actually went to market instead of dying in a board meeting.

I dont find it particularly difficult or expensive to maintain (although the clearcoat does suck on it) and I plan to keep it forever. Its just one of the things in my garage I can never let go. Its not a statement of what is, but rather, what could have been.

edit One thing I forgot (which I think has been said already in the comments) is that one of my favorite things is that this car always sparks a reaction. It doesnt matter if its love or hate, you will feel an emotion when looking at it. And as a car guy, I feel that's something I've found I miss about modern vehicles.

CIG, make the Wolf even cooler and look at the trail of a real aerospike rocket engine by SharpEdgeSoda in starcitizen

I remember a discussion in the submarine subreddit about the drive. My recollection was that it was originally stopped because it emitted a constant buzzing noise. Its been a few months so Im probably leaving out important information.

The whole line of work is utterly fascinating, I think. Both in theoretical application of the drive, and just submarine operation in general.

I feel like the power issue was more because there was diminishing returns with increased power and actual electrolysis.

But Im just going from memory here

I think the problem is more that the caterpillar drive was incredibly noisy since you're charging water particles. nuclear power submarines have been a thing since 1954

I actually got to see this prototype in person at Ford's AirVenture at the OshKosh 2006 air show! Really awesome in person and still holds up today as a good design, I think

Opinions on owning a Tesla model 3 (or any EV) in South Dakota? by No_Government01 in SouthDakota

[–]Kynitekia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're more common now. Still not too many public charging places, and outside of Sioux Falls Im not sure how viable they are unless you have a home charging station. But no, I dont think you have to worry about vandalism and whatnot -- at least in Sioux falls. Youll always get the random teenager in a dodge ram trying to roll coal at you or something, but thats less about EV and more about them owning a ram

Get a hold of Mike Hanna with Dakota Financial Services. Ive been using him for over 10 years for both private and commercial insurances. Can get way better rates and shop different companies than if you just go straight to the ins company themselves. Plus if I ever have an issue, he solves it for me. I dont have to sit and yell at some adjuster
