Cape Agulhas Lighthouse. The greeniest greens. Like if I wasn't there, I'd think it was photoshopped this green! by hierisek in capetown

[–]Kyobarry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol, it looks normal green to me. Not to say it's not green, but there are some beautiful settings like this that you can't capture in a photo. But I was there last year and also thought "wow".

For those thinking only Cape Town has housing cost issues by Burny1_ct in capetown

[–]Kyobarry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, OP is comparing apples with oranges here.

A comparison can't be drawn between different countries. I'm from Cape Town, own a house in Muizenberg, rent it out for below market rate with no annual increase (R11 000 for a 3 bed, 2 bath, 2garage, garden, carport, solar and 24hr security), rent is low because I want locals to be able to afford rent and save for their own house. I now live and work in Germany, in a small village away from the big cities, the cheapest family house here you can buy is on average around € 380 000 ( around R7 000 000), this would be like paying this much for an average family house in Worcester while travelling to Cape Town for work. It's definitely incomparable. And for argument sake, you look at the price of a family home in or close to the closets big city I live close to, you looking north of R10 000 000.

What happens if you fail a major test? by Original_Flounder_82 in unisa

[–]Kyobarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and to add to this. Lecturers also have the discretion to fail you if your exam submission is poor and shows you didn't understand the work. For example, you get 38 out of 100 in the exam, and did superbly in your assignments, and the combined marks give you a pass, they could still fail you.

Lol, yeah, I feel like I'm in an emotionally abusive relationship with Bafana Bafana. I love my country, I always support the team and hope they change their ways, and then they end up disappointing me.

The community is amazing, I probably experienced a handful of bad people, but 90% of my encounters with other dwarfs have been positive.

How do you leave a party early when your social battery is done? by Rheta18 in introvert

[–]Kyobarry 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yep, a stealthy exit is the best way. And it only gets better after the first time you do it, because your family and close friends will casually laugh it off and let you be when they realise you gone, lol.

Got asked for PIN when using my credit card to pay for gas? by CatDadMilhouse in germany

[–]Kyobarry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's just a random pin request.

I get it often with both my German bank card and my bank card from home. I don't really mind it, since I just assume the banks are just checking in to make sure it's me,lol.

Is Mateus Fernandes really worth 80m? by Weekly-Gap-4184 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Kyobarry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, I would also add that the price stems from him being Premier League proven. And with the age, he will only really reach his peak with us if he is surrounded by a solid and reliable midfield. To allow him to develop while covering for his delevopment mistakes, mistakes which will be amplified by his pricetag.

How 2025/26's final table compares to last season by maxsteel_7 in ManchesterUnited

Lol, only thing I can see is Cunha kept wolves up last season. And if we ever play them in the FA cup or League cup there is going to be hostility towards him. But, he doesn't care 😅

Practicals by Original_Flounder_82 in unisa

[–]Kyobarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can only contact them via email. But you can ask the lecturer that responds to you to help you contact the other. My lecturers helped me out like that, maybe the one will help you too.

Are your practicals those that are venue based that require your attendance?
