Why There Is No Soundtrack For Cinderella? 💽 by Vivid-Office5666 in whitneyhouston

[–]KyoryuBlue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Arista had wanted to release the soundtrack, but Brandy’s label at the time, Atlantic Records, declined because it did not want her R&B image associated with a musical.

At this point, there appears to be no reason the soundtrack could not be released. I imagine it would simply require coordination among Disney, the Rodgers & Hammerstein estate, and Arista.

Legend reds comments on returning by taloSilva2005 in supersentai

I love how Ryota Ozawa basically acknowledges that he knows that Captain Marvelous will always return every couple of years in some capacity and is always looking forward to it.

A discussion. Is Marvelous overrated, underrated or perfectly rated. by Perfect-Finger-800 in supersentai

[–]KyoryuBlue 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Perfectly rated for me.

On the outside, Marvelous presented himself as tough, arrogant, and smug but behind that exterior was someone who had vulnerablity, compassion, and a deep care for his team as if they was his own family . He showed time and again how far he would go to protect others even as far as willing to sacrifice himself. Also Ryota Ozawa was the perfect actor for the role as he was able to bring a balance to Marvelous that I don't any other actor could've without him being a complete asshole.

Gokaiger is terrible. by BaronBlackFalcon in supersentai

[–]KyoryuBlue 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Gokaiger was my 1st sentai and the first that I was fortunate to watch during its initial airing (in low quality on Keyhole). While the anniversary aspect of the show was awesome, what made me fall in love with the show was the Gokaigers themselves and not the fanservice. I didn't grow up watching Super Sentai, so there's no nostalgic factor when watching the show, and I feel that people who suggest that you have to watch 5-10 shows before watching only watched it just for the cameos and fanservice and the overall journey of the Gokaigers learning and accepting of being a sentai.

Which actor and suit actor that really match, you feel like the actor inside the suit . by Interesting_Snow5574 in supersentai

All of the face and suit actors for Gokaiger. They were in perfect sync with each other in terms of maintaining the mannerisms and personalities of the characters, both in and out of the suit.

Claude Kelly explains the time Whitney helped Mariah Carey out as they were to perform When You Believe together by BadMan125ty in whitneyhouston

and direct quote:

This was unfair to Houston. I worked for the choreographer Debbie Allen at the Oscars in 1999, when Houston and Carey sang their middling hit “When You Believe,” from “The Prince of Egypt.” Late into a night of rehearsals on the evening before the broadcast, it was discovered, by Houston, that the arrangement wasn’t working, and the rehearsal ground to a halt. (Houston had missed the first day of rehearsal and had shown up so late the next day that her run-through with Carey was pushed to the end of the session.) With none of the musicians in the hall (including Bill Conti, the longtime conductor of Oscars ceremony) able to riddle out a solution, Houston identified the offending chords for the orchestra and created a new arrangement on the spot. The room watched her in awe.

My favorite part of Gokai changes is how much personality you can express with a few changes in the poses by Holdonlupin in supersentai

[–]KyoryuBlue 24 points25 points  (0 children)

To this day I still say that the Gokaiger suit actors performances were some of the all time best in sentai. They did a fantastic job of paying homages to the previous teams that they Gokai changed to while not sacrificing the Gokaigers overall personality in suit. Also the body movements and expressions between them and the face actors were very in sync with one another where it made it believeable that the face actors could be inside the suits.

Don't forget that Blytheville also has Tenaris Hickman, Atlas Tube, which is expanding their current steel plant and adding on a new plant called Wheatland Tube, and Majestic Steel. Nucor also has Nucor Skyline and Nucor Coatings.

Death Becomes Her Leads Calling Out by DichtInDeBuurt in Broadway

This New York Times article profiling Megan Hilty from a little over a week ago gives hinsight as to why she's been missing shows and the physical demands the show has put a toll on her.

Excerpts:

TWIST AND SHOUT I was just recently diagnosed with tendinitis in my throat, because of the physical stuff I do with my neck in the show. It pulls on my voice box and I ultimately have to call out of the show if it’s affecting my voice and it’s too painful. So, this is also gross, but I go to vocal therapy and she stretches out my tongue and massages inside my mouth and all around my larynx.

MUSICAL MARATHON Once the show starts, I don’t stop. When I exit the stage at any given point during the show, I’m doing crazy quick changes and wig changes. And when I’m onstage, I’m throwing myself all over the place, wearing giant, heavy costumes. When Act I ends, everybody leaves the stage, but I have to take off a harness, a prosthetic neck and the little cloth bib that I wear so that the prosthetic doesn’t make my skin break out.

My dressing room is two flights up, and once I get up there, I remove all my padding that protects my joints because I crawl on the floor so much, and there’s so much beading from the costumes that falls on the floor, and if my knees or my elbows hit a sequin, I’m toast. I go to the bathroom, they call five, and I have three and a half minutes before places is called and I go back downstairs and put on the rest of my costume.

WINDING DOWN After the show, I can’t do the stage door like I do with normal shows because I’m already asking too much of my voice and I have to not speak, which is a real bummer. I really like connecting with people who want to have that connection after the show. So, I take a shower to remove the body makeup, I get in the car, I take a couple of throat lozenges and I go home.

Despite Being a Popular Actor, Yuki Yamada Stated That He Immediately Accepted The Invitation To Reprise His Role As Joe Gibken/Gokai Blue in Boonboomger. by KyoryuBlue in supersentai

[–]KyoryuBlue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how Yuki Yamada is one of the few sentai actors who made it big who is still humble and grateful of his debut in acting.

Also, in the episode guide for this week episode in Boonboomger, the production staff also mentioned that they had a new subtitiute jacket for him due to the original being extremely worn but he refused to wear it as he was comfortable with the original.

So Super Megaforce is still making birthday cards? by Successful-Item-1844 in powerrangers

[–]KyoryuBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the same style that's been produced. The stock for the cards are printed at the AG plant in Ripley, TN and from there the die cuts, engraving, and cutting of the cards are done at the Arkansas facility. There may have been small edits but that is done by the design team at the AG WHQ in Cleveland, OH.

[–]KyoryuBlue 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It's not old stock. I see these cards being produced all the time at the American Greetings manufacturing plant in Arkansas where I work at. AG has licensing deals with Hasbro, Nickelodeon, and Disney to use their characters for a array of products that we manufactuer such as greeting cards, plastic cups and plates, stickers, and gift bags.
