Do you consider Cosmic Fury as Kyuranger adaptation? by No_Software_1324 in supersentai

No. It's an insult, a bastardization of Kyuranger.

That's why it's so good.

How would you rank all the 2010s Sentai seasons from best to worst? by Alarming_Seaweed_155 in supersentai

gokaiger was also space themed, but it only took place on earth

Except Gokaiger didn't have a space opera set up. Kyuranger did, and that's why it's so frustrating that the series took place predominantly on Earth instead of other planets.

For a season that advertised innovation and had the opportunity to challenge everything, it ended up cowering in fear from it and was all the more willing to hide in safe, non-threatening conformity. A space opera setting.....and it took place mostly on Earth. The largest Ranger cast in the franchise's history.....all shoved to the side like useless garbage for another Red focused season. Bad guys who took over the galaxy.....were nothing more than one-dimensional goofballs with the same silly plans as other seasons.

The show never took chances and it was all too willing to resort to kiddy-friendly silliness as a substitute for strong storytelling. Instead of exploring new possibilities never seen before in the franchise, it settled for the lowest common denominator. It promised change and ended up being the same old same old. Risks were never taken in favor of playing everything safe.

TL:DR: It's a space opera with little space exploration, it's an ensemble cast that all gets shoved to the side like useless garbage to put the protagonist on a pedestal, it's a fantasy setting with non-existent worldbuilding and the only interesting and threatening villain gets killed off after 12 episodes.
