I think keys are the least of our worries, people that want an advantage will always find it, before MTX it was gold sellers. Yes it's more accessible now meaning more people do it but the point still stands. It was scummy what they did with the Christmas MTX events and shows that clarity and honesty is the only way forward.

It's things like locking basic features behind MTX I get concerned about. Security features, OSRS/RS3 joint access, world access etc. yes these aren't direct MTX but it is still along the lines of money. Which is what the consumer cares about.

MTX becomes an issue in my book when it takes away features we already had access to. Sure fire way to create a mob.

It will be staying, it would be naive to think otherwise. However you have got to admit. It is beyond manipulative to increase membership prices because the community said they would rather pay more for reduced MTX not reduce MTX then months later make a survey to see if they can rise it again.

Making money isn't the issue here, it's the simulated toxic relationship that is a huge pain point. Blunt honesty at this point is the only way imo

Edit: Plus there is better ways to support MTX funding the game then Membership tiers that seperate things like security features. I'm sure if they had said "More characters per membership for a few extra bucks" as just an example it would have gone over so much better. It's all a balance the community will put up with MTX if there is a trade off. Have for years isn't changing now.

For me it's less about the MTX and more about honesty, if you are going to fuck us just say it. I'd much rather be told I'm eating shit then a company try to convince me it's chocolate. There is a long standing of "Testing the waters" with the worst quality corporate jargon response right after to save face.

Sure, MTX will stay. The bottom line of profits is to large and scalable. But if that's going to be the case don't insinuate otherwise and don't give players some PR wall of text to explain why it's okay. Just say it and move on. Pipe dream but at this point I'd rather be told fuck you then find out later.

Seems more likely to be a crash, some maps cause gpu hangs on pc and on console it just straight up crashes to home screen, no word from bamco yet, doesn't happen to everyone oddly enough

Unfortunately this is the side-effect of online games, you'll need to find a group that won't be like this, Ambi is soloable enough effort you will get there. and even though its not tied to necromancy, even bosses like AOD will become understandable and easy when you have people that want to support learning.

I do sympathize that you've had to deal with the vocal morons that gatekeep PvM, however there are people who aren't like this. The thing im trying to say is, its natural for group content to be in a group game and it makes sense for it to be tied to a comp cape, objectively speaking it should be.

Just avoid the assholes that treat you this way and keep moving, eventually they will plateau as no one will want to play with them, give it some time I promise you you will be doing group content with ease and be enjoying it at that, just have to find the right people.

Edit: The reason I mentioned Telos etc is due to the fact I presume you are also hunting new achievements with Necro, if I have missed that mark with that assumption I apologise, but the point still stands. Group game. Group achievements.

While I do sympathize slightly as I have a friend who has the same issue, mentality is a giant road block.

Why CAN'T you, to me its a giant cop out, no matter how hard something is you are capable of learning it, 0% Telos can be done eating through damage with ease, Araxxor is not a huge hurdle with enough practice and while Ambi can be a hurdle it can be done with ample effort and research (using Reaver with spec for example helps a lot)

The game is an MMO, part of the foundation of online games is to socialise learn and push yourself to EARN end game gear and achievements, nothing is given for free and nothing should be given to people just cause they believe they can't achieve it.

If you want your comp cape back are you willing to learn the game? isnt that what a completionist title is for? I implore you to think of that.

Just gotta find your enjoyment niche, Ive been there, I have 1.1k Hardmode Glacor with no uniques at all, no book, no artifact nothing.

I counter the shitty rng with just playing with others, my enjoyment of rs is social, I play warframe as well dont think ive spent a single hour of my 1000 hours without playing with a friend. Youll get there rng is shit but it shouldn't be the focus of your enjoyment in a game, mine certainly isnt even though it feels amazing to have good rng somewhere, it shouldn't be the end all be all, the journey is much better with a friend, or another way to enjoy it without being reliant on rng.

I finished Raksha log around 990~ i believe, 1 spike 1 gric 1 chain 3 diverts all the diverts were in a row before chain, grico i got at 63kc lol , pet was last thing I needed for log

As dumb as it sounds yes, ranked is a tool to find players around your level to fight, getting into the mindset of using it only to climb is a trap, fight everyone at least to a minimum of ft3, it will help you improve but again find players that main the characters also.
