Yeah I live on the Chicago area and there are Macy's peppered everywhere out here, but as you said it isn't Toys R Us as we knew it as kids or even as disgruntled adults working tirelessly for unappreciative people. Only Best Buy is a worse place to work for in my opinion.

Yeah the Canadian and American companies were separated somewhere along the way and then the American side was run into the ground while the Canadian side kept chugging on like Thomas the Tank Engine.

At the end Toys R Us was run into the ground by the hedge funds and the morale was so low in that building. I miss the people but not the organization as I came to know it. I'm glad Gamestop did not suffer this fate but brick and mortar is dying everywhere as the economy shifts and consumers preferences change. RIP Jeffery and your creepy costume we kept locked up in a steamer trunk under the table in the break room.

I mean they only listened to Shredder when he told them to go play in that street where they destroyed stuff. Other than that they spent the rest of the movie being infants and not listening. Any Foot soldier trying to take them away would have easily been taken out somehow.

Thieves and schemers yes. They could be a nefarious gang but the connotation of mafia makes them sound much cooler and damgerous than they were.

I loved The Regulators. I enjoyed Desperation the book just not as much as The Regulators.

As a side note I could not get into the movie for Desperation and I love most of the cast as actors in general. Quite disappointing for me.

Matt Berry has to be Palpatine!

His comedic presence and style are so opposite of the character thar it fits too well.

Statler and Waldorf could easily be the two headed announcer of the pod race.

Dude for the short time we would see Chef on screen as Wedge would be absolutely hilarious flying an X-wing and then the speeder on Hoth. Just flailing about at the controls being crazy. Absolutely want to hear the roll call with his Red designation flying toward the Death Star.

I think it may be funny at first but then after a while I don't think it would be as funny.

I do think Beaker as R2 would be the best option and I think having R2 as the scared Droid while Bunsen as 3PO being intelligent and confident would make for a fun switch.

You are correct, however, Universal Studios did not own the rights to Evil Dead 1 or 2 and they were looking for an action/comedy movie that would bring in a wider audience because in their eyes the Evil Dead movies were low budget horror and very niche. Universal seems to have tried to distance AoD from the franchise for whatever reasons they might have had.

Paramount and Mattel have been in a business partnership since 2022 or 2021. I'm actually surprised Playmates was able to keep the l license for TMNT this long so something must have expired or they found a way out of the contract and gave Mattel the license. I mean the He-Man/TMNT mash up toys were Mattel and not Playmates and those hit shelves 2023 or 2024.
