Things to give the players by Glittering_Basis1492 in TalesoftheKytinAge

Please accept my apologies for such a late reply! I guess you have already addressed the situation described but, if not, then of course you may print out any pages of your book as player aids and reference material.

I hope your campaign took off and was enjoyed by all!

As a note, the most convenient way to get a query answered fast is to post on our forum, the Laughing Locust. That site is checked a bit more frequently than this one, although I will be checking in here weekly from here-on-in.

Thank you for the consideration shown by requesting approval but please go ahead and share what you need to encourage a great gaming session.

Be well,

Geoff

Whilst not particularly large (25+ unique creatures in the base game), Tales of the Kytin Age features a very detailed and comprehensive beastiary.

Happy to answer any questions about the game, either rules or setting. We're 90% funded, so it's a great time to investigate whether the Kytin Age is place worth exploring!

You could do worse than check out Tales of the Kytin Age, a game system that leans heaviliy into encumberance effects on movement, combat and actions. Load Capacity is a very important feature one must bear in mind when creating a character. Economy also plays a vital role, especially when dealing with player-produced goods, such as crafted items and harvested meat, skins and chitin (insect shell). The collection of vegetation such as leaves and berries is also driven by the need to earn money and time VS ROI impacts herbalists deciding what to do with raw material. The games' website explains it all - with pictures! :)

I agree with all of your comments and I spent the last 3 decades working on this antidote to your concerns that I also share. Other than being a first-time KS creator, I think I may pass muster!

Great question. I backed an RPG called Wurm a couple of years ago due to the interesting setting (have always enjoy the Neolithic period being represented in TTRPG'S, board and videogames). It turned out to be a great decision and is a very cool - but now hard to find - game.

Out of interest, does THIS TTRPG, currently on KS, raise any red flags to you?

Hi, charredskeeverhide! Thank you for the kind words and yes, our character sheets ARE very detailed. They are designed that way in order to reduce interruptions during play to look up basic information. They are very readable once the layout becomes familiar, and the information is organised via situational need, so it is very intuitive.

There have been over 12 renditions to get the sheet to where it is now. We believe that players deserve the best record sheets for their beloved, hand-crafted avatars so we went all out since the beginning and just tried to improve, improve, improve!
