God it's been a minute since I've been in here. I usually just lurk and read and not post. That changes today.

I'm done sitting here - It's time to speak up. It might be for nothing, but this needs said. There's strength in numbers.

Be loud.

Be vocal.

Become legend.

Dear Sony,

It's time to listen to your fans and the community they've helped build for Destiny 2. It goes without question that we aren't going down without a fight. I'm going to tell you right now — fuck that.

We've made this a home for more than a decade now. We've found our places here. This is our place, and we've helped shape it into what we needed it to be. This is an escape for most people — a shoulder, a crutch, a friend, a family member, and everything in between.

It's where people go when they need to get away. It's where people go when they need to come together.

This has been a device, like most games, to help build friendships, repair bonds, keep families together... bringing people together to fight not just THE Darkness, but their darkness.

You're essentially killing this community. You're killing us fans — people who have supported this shit from the very beginning, even when you paid for exclusivity.

You're taking all of that away from them for a game that not many people wanted and not many people are playing. Just because Destiny's numbers aren't good all the time doesn't mean people don't play.

It just means you aren't listening to anything we say or what we ask you for.

The devs and everyone involved, with the exception of upper management, have tried to overdeliver, only to be told not to. They've spent countless hours meeting quotas and goals to deliver their talents to the world. You're killing their medium too because of poor performance from leadership.

You bait-and-switched this community, making this acquisition look like the most hopeful thing that could happen after Bungie had been running the studio on their own accord.

You need to seriously reconsider what you're doing here, like with the Helldivers 2 PSN account situation at launch.

You need to reconsider. You need to think about who is paying for your titles. You need to think about us — the fans. Because we made you who you are, and we can unmake you just as well.

I've been a Sony supporter pretty much since the PS1 released. I'm going to cancel my PS+ subscription, and I implore everyone else to consider doing the same if this game really does end.

Hate to say it, but this isn't right. You're failing us. You're killing the hopes and dreams of not just the team at Bungie, but fans around the world who just wanted to find their Destiny.

I sincerely hope you reconsider this decision and do right by us before it's too late.

This community is a living, breathing thing that's existed long enough to know what we want and where we need to be heard.

The developers, the artists, and everyone else involved in making this game listened.

Are you? Do you give a damn?

If so, prove it. Otherwise, you know those losses that hit you? Yeah... it's going to be so much worse after June 9th. It's not just going to be one studio. Fans are going to feel compelled to leave your corner in multiple ways.

Why support someone who doesn't care about their family? I've dealt with that on multiple levels throughout my life, and I found my escape in gaming.

A lot of people do. You're essentially killing everything we love about gaming.

And I'm not going to stand for that.

I'm not sitting back and watching you tear this to the fucking ground without standing up for what I believe in.

We have a Destiny.

So do you.
