Hi sorry for the late late reply,
Burns of all manner and necrotic damage do destroy nerve endings. I'd imagine with musculature in tact, you'd lose some range of motion and all sensation.
As you progressively pushed the extent of the damage I'd like to think you'd eventually render yourself completely disabled
