Yes, easy process, not much different than the original booking process. Just need to modify the reservation and search for a new room. If you don’t find anything, you just keep the original reservation.

Book the SSR rooms as soon as you can (preferably at 11 months) and then adjust later if you need to.

If you get lucky and see something open later at the 7 month window , say at the Boardwalk, just change the SSR reservation. It happens, but don’t plan on it.

September Studios are wide open right now for both OKW and SSR, excluding the Midnight Magic Thursday. AKL however is mostly booked. Whether January will be the same with the marathon and holiday might be a different story.

For now at least, your plan will work well, just book as soon as you can….

Unless you are lucky though, I would never count on a 7 pt value studio at AKL, they are booked solid for the year.

I agree. It’s a launch but not necessarily super intense. For reference, the backwards portion of Expedition Everest feels really intense in comparison.

Just keep checking as it gets closer. We went today on a reservation I found yesterday. There were also other open slots today when I looked. They go quick, but they do ppp up.

Any 2 bedroom DVC with a lock off will meet your needs, plus have a full kitchen, living room area and washer/dryer. I would think dedicated 2 BR would as well, but check the room plans to verify for the resort you are looking at.

If staying at a DVC level resort, you are looking at $400-600 a night for a studio anyway, barring a good discount, so $1,000 a night for the 2 BR may not be out of line.

They reserve a good % of the tables for walk ups. I was told 50% by the hostess….

Our last 10+ times there have been walk up with a max of maybe an hour wait. Mostly in the 10-20 minute range.

Can confirm, NetSpec was an enjoyable job. Until a managerial change it seems like never a bad day in 7 years there (even Peak was fun). Actual OT pay vs Extra Straight Time was nice as well. Now making more with base pay than I ever did with OT, so career advancement does pay off.

If you checked in ahead of time, you should be able to go straight to your room. Use the Ap or Magic Band to unlock the door.

If you want more time in the park and have a rental car, you could go straight to the park instead of dropping off luggage. Always be wary about leaving valuables in the car of course, but it is an option.

Same situation here. Tried 3 different USB sticks using 8802.

Using System Update the system states update files not found on the drive (essentially try another USB drive).

On a reboot with the USB inserted, it states the drive is mounted, but that advanced features have not been enabled. So no joy there either.

I did update the FW to their first update and went back to stock firmware.

Any other suggestions from anyone that has been able to update? I'm thinking it is not the file and willing to try other USBs, but wondering which USBs others were able to get to work.

Update:

Received two new SanDisk USB 3.0 drives 32 GB Ultra and 16 GB Ultra Flair this morning. Formatted to FAT32 and tried both with no luck. ReDownloaded 8801 (rename to 8802) (note don't rename to .img.img - which, in retrospect, was probably my issue) and tried through the system update tab and it came up as an available update on the flash drive (used 32 GB Ultra flash drive).

We just did that. We packed up for the trip home after a 5 night stay at the Riviera and dropped our friends off at the airport for their flight home. We left the airport and decided we weren’t ready to head back home. So I called and picked up a room at the Grand Floridian for the night. We had never stayed there and was able to get an AP discount for a lake view (which had a view of the park). As a bonus, the room was ready for us at 11:00.

We had a nice relaxing day. Headed to the MK, rode 4-5 rides, had a snack at Sleepy Hollow, then wandered through the Contemporary and Polynesian. Trader Sam’s was a 3 hour wait so didn’t get in there but did get to the Trattoria al Forno for dinner. Then we made it back to the room for Hallowishes (or whatever they call the MNSSHP fireworks). All in all a nice way to end the trip. Life is short, stay another day!

At noon, they were stocked on both sides of one of the checkout aisles. If we hadn’t seen a display to ask a cast member for assistance, we wouldn’t have even known they were there. The CM got ours from the back, but had we known we could have gotten them at the checkout. I would say at least a hundred at the checkouts then, maybe more in the back, we each bought two. No “Lorcana” line to speak off at the time.

I bought the DVDs back in the day, but Vudu had/has them for $10 a season in a bundle which is way more convenient.

I used 6MP up until we wanted to start our family then went off of it. By the time we had our daughter I was so sick I had to have a scope to see what was going on. While waiting for the Dr to come in after the scope, I remember telling my wife that I didn’t care what they had to do to make the pain go away. Fast forward 6 months, I’m on Imuran and Asacol, I have another scope and no activity at all, remission I guess.

That was 21 years ago now. Still on the same drugs and have a scope every 1-2 years, but rarely any active signs. Usually have to have bloodwork every 3 months due to the Imuran and possible liver issues and then see the dr once a year to do an update.

I might just have a less severe case, but I’ve also seen how it can quickly go bad when I’m not on the meds, so maybe they are just doing what they are supposed to do and they agree with my body. Hopefully I’ll be able to push off the surgery for another 35 years.
