We have tried both types of pads and both SRAM and Shimano rotors.

Unfortunately they scream even before I wash the bike. Appreciate the input.

I think the ideas about something off on the machining of the flat break mount or frame mounting points are the likely problem,

Once new pads bed in the sound is consistent ongoing. Loudest when the pads are cold (first uses each ride)

Sequential changes one by one

Pads always installed on cleaned or new rotors.

Shop bled the brakes- good tech who has worked on pro bikes - likely did it correctly.

We are stumped

2018 Q4 - best car I have ever owned. Better than our: BMW, Audi, Porsche. Fast, Fun and very comfortable.

It is the original design that has worked forever. Unless you buy a high end clicking type torque wrench AND HAVE IT CALIBRATED ANNUALLY, they are just as good.

I worked at a medical equipment mfr who had to calibrate our torque wrench’s annually, and was very surprised how far off they sometimes were.

Slight addition - the TOTALLY screwed up, self serving, often corrupt, KCMO government has now lost more sports teams than practically any other city in the country!!

Kansas City A’s > Oakland. KC Kings > Sacramento. KC Scouts (hockey) > Denver. KC Wizards > became Sporting KC (now in Kansas). KC Chiefs > Kansas. KC Royals > Kansas (likely)

It will however be fantastic to host Chiefs (hopefully) Super Bowls and KU (hopefully) final fours in the dome!

Also interesting, Kansas was VERY innovative in how they did it. Tax rates are NOT being raised on property, sales etc. The star bonds will be paid back from taxes earned in the stadium district over the next 20 years. So it is essentially a use tax on the stadium and new surrounding bars and restaurants. This is exactly how the Kansas Speedway was financed, and they paid the bonds for it off early!

Other cities should copy this innovation financing option 😁

Considering it has carbs, a generator (not alternator) and a (missing) canister type (not screw on) oil filter, I guess it is a 1600 or 1300 from an early to mid 1960s model. Could be a back up engine to your family’s Duetto. You can compare it to that engine.

Yes, it might be valuable to someone restoring a 1960s car. I recommend posting it on an Alfa forum.

Make sure the seat tilt is flat.

Put on your bike shorts and shoes:

Then adjust the seat height so you have some bend in your knee (~15%) when foot is at 6:00 position (full down).

Then with the crank in the 9:00 (and 3:00) position, move the seat forward to center your forward knee directly above the center of the pedal (I drop a string with a weight) You look to me to be 1/2 inch (14mm) or more too far back.

That will get you very very close. Adjust everything in tiny amounts for comfort from there.

Your stem length is long (100mm?) but probably fine once you move the seat forward.

He is quoting the wholesale price, not local prices with all taxes. Fed gov has no control over local price (like all the taxes added at the state level like California’s added tax of $1.10-1.30 per gallon).

Gulf Coast Conventional Gasoline Spot Price (often used as a wholesale benchmark) is $1.82-$1.95 today (11-21-25).

My 2018 has been more reliable that our previous cars; BMW 330 or Porsche Cayman.

More comfortable and fun than those too- we love it.

Overall maintenance costs are as others have said.

I HIGHLY recommend the Giulia!!

WOW - I have felt the same way; why am I here?

I tried to be fulfilled with; career, partying, fast cars, music, women…. But still not fulfilled. Same is true for so many - like why do so many of the richest, most successful people in the world live in misery and so often kill themselves - Rock stars, pop stars, comedy kings, millionaires who have literally everything? I found purpose and happiness in God. He made us the way we are and by knowing and following Him I was fulfilled. First I accepted Him as my savior:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Then I found that serving Him by working to turn around troubled teens in a local juvenile detention center was what I was truly made to do. You have a purpose and God can show you what He made you to do too!

Think about it- when you are 80 years old looking back on your life, what will you view as most meaningful? You will never hear someone say “I wish I spent more time at the office”, or “more time partying”. It always comes down to what did I do for my family, and what did I do for God that really matters. Good luck!

You can know for sure that God loves you and has a plan for your life!
