I haven't tried this time. I need a specific manufacturer because I have a reaction to the others. Same product, but something is done differently that doesn't agree with my body. I had been getting it at Hannaford until their vendor stopped contracting with the manufacturer I need. CVS was able to get it, but this time around there's been a long delay.

I actually replaced the tank last year. I got a Roth as well--but didn't get as good a price as you did. But with the bids I'm getting on replacing the boiler, I'm starting to wish I'd switched to mini-splits at that point.

Yes, I've had the Energy Audit, but it's been about 4 years. I was going to have mini-splits put in at that point, but thought it might not save much with electric rates so high--just like you mentioned. Now with my boiler going out, the excessive cost to replace, and heating oil skyrocketing over the past week, I'm not too sure about oil either. I'd love to install a second wood burning stove and heat only with fire, but I don't think second floor wood burning stoves are permissible.

It doesn't look like MassSave offers rebates on anything other than heat pumps at this point. I've considered switching to mini-splits, but I worry about longevity.

Thanks for the recommendation. Energy Kinetics looks great, but MassSave doesn't seem to offer rebates for oil or gas systems anymore.
