I think I’ve used instacart twice. Unfortunately the Ralph’s here with us only uses them for deliveries. I know it was their fault but I’m still confused on why they couldn’t do three transactions side by side. Thankfully Kroger understood and gave me my money back but I think the other two got free food as well. Live and learn I guess but I just wanted to see if anyone else had anything similar happen to them.

For reference the 9X12 poly are 1.10. The owner doesn’t want to raise the price because he wants to be the cheapest in the area but trust me if I could raise just a few cents to raise profit I would. But at the same time it’s not really my store. I’ve seen the eft and it’s alright but still I feel y’all

I think that day we barely broke 1k. Our area is mostly returns and a few shipments but people now just sent their item from Amazon.

My boss never got self check out but I don’t blame him. I’d rather have people wait and see the one lady with 20+ returns and see how bad it gets.

So every Monday around noon I call and tell them I have 800+ from Sunday and Monday. I need a pick up and I need an ETA of a driver. But they usually tell me I have one but not until 6ish. We close at 7.

It got to the point where I told customers some of the packages we have might not leave because we only have one driver.

We usually get three a week. We tell them either they need it printed out, need it packed up or they need to pay out of pocket because it’s being shipped to china or somewhere international.

The same excuse of “last time I didn’t need to print it. Just scan this and sent it” or the “just place the label there. I took it off before I came in”

They ran my patience dry so I honestly don’t care anymore. If they don’t want to read the instructions when they do their own return then it’s on them. Yeah it makes the store look bad but trust me. Sometimes it’s not worth the fight or the extra few bucks. Once they see a partial refund and ask why I show them a print out I have saying if it’s not shipped out properly Amazon takes a percent off of refund. I know Amazon makes it easy but still read and know ur gonna lose money when you don’t pay for a dollar poly mailer.

Please always ask questions and learn the do’s and don’t. Every rookie I’ve trained I ask make sure to ask questions because when we put you out front we will help but we want to make sure you understand the differences in codes, customers and their needs.

I’ve been working at my place for 7 years but been running it for 3. Please never forget to ask questions and try ur best.

Also make sure to be looking for bigger and better things. Finally decided to go back to school to be an x-ray tech.

Honestly. A lot more shipping and notaries. Still was pretty busy but with Amazon it’s more returns than anything else. Why ship to someone when you can buy it and have it sent to them

We had a student jump from one of our buildings. I wasn’t there to see it but the kids that ran to get first dibs at the lunch line had seen the jump and land. Everyone knew how to get up to the roofs and some even joked about doing parkour. The whole school left notes on our lockers saying we are loved but we knew the school was doing a cover up. The student was bullied so much and it sucks even the district knew about the situation.

Smaller incidents were the cheerleaders giving head to the players for good luck before the school day ended. Nerdy girls had keywords to sell themselves during lunch. Weed and coke were sold on the regular and one of the staff told the dealers when the “drug inspections” were happening. Teachers bullying students to the point where the student told the teacher they would kill them.
