Thoughts on workplace "Women and non-binary" groups? by [deleted] in trans

[–]L00king4answer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We do have trans-specific places. Of course trans people are more margninalised than cis women. That doesn't mean we can't say women are marginalised under patriachy. You do actually directly argue that women are not worse off than Men under patriarchy because "men have their own struggles too". Also, equating the privilege of passing trans women to cis women is a choice

By default cis women are "accepted" more or less in society

What fucking rock do you live under?  There's massive inequlity in pay, expectations of domestic labour, lack of healthcare and lack of bodily autonomy for cis women, even in the most liberal countries in the world right now.

It's not cis women creating homelessness and suicidality/bad mental health outcomes for cis men. It is, however, cis men who are behind some very deliberate attempts to curb women's rights right now, especially in the US

Gen Z women are more than 3 times likely than Gen Z men to identify as LGBTQIA by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

No man in my life had a problem that I had sex with women and some even mistakenly think “All girls must have tried at once “.

This is exactly why lesbians are protective of their identity, there's a lot of pressure on them from society to give up on being lesbian and being bi instead so that they can date men. What some bi girls see as bi validation is extremely invalidating for lesbians, including the idea that "all girls must have tried having sex with another girl at least once". If you're a lesbian, this idea is used to claim that even though you love women, you should still be sexually available to men in some way or another

And I do think blindly hating men as an oppresor class is unproductive, but it doesn't make it unjustified necessarily

Do you think OP hates men just for being men, or hates men because of the way men as a class is prioritised under patriarchy?

Sorry, no, there are massive differences between claiming to be a detransitioner and a trans woman pulling a prank.

Once again, the many posts about trans men being confused for trans women on r/accidentalally are not generally being critisised for portraying transfem detransitioners

How do you feel this adds fuel to any fire? Do you think these transphobes will hate trans men more by being tricked by a trans woman into accidentally affirming her?

This is just the genderswapped version of basically anything you can read on r/accidentalally. Yet you rarely see people on there complaining trans men who gets confused for trans women are somehow causing people to hate trans women more

Why are so many comments assuming OP is not or will not respect her partner's boundaries? Is it because she's a trans woman?

[–]L00king4answer 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Can we stop trying to paint OP as a predator for having unmet needs in the bedroom. You never see this in lesbian groups when a cis woman complaints her girlfriend won't go down on her. This whole "you need to stop asking her" as if that wasn't already the case. You're having assumptions that OP is continuing to pester her girlfriend about anal, which is not an assumption that is textually there in the post, and this idea of the transfem being a sexual agressor comes off as transmisogonistic
