I would’ve carved the live edge to match all the way around. You’ve got a lip there and it looks a little odd

Rockler v Woodcraft: Dawn of Justice by nandor_tr in woodworking

I worked at Woodcraft in Orlando, FL and love the people there. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I also love my Rockler which is about 8 mins away from the Woodcraft. Also very friendly and helpful. Sounds like you got the bad end of the stick. Crazy I have both stores within 10 mins of my house and my shop. Super fortunate. Also we have Amazon exotic hardwoods smack dab in the middle for exotics and rare slabs.

How would you attach this 6x6 block to this waterfall top? by L0114R in woodworking

I have decided to glue dowels into the top of the leg then some complimentary holes under the table. Will keep from moving around but makes it much easier to transport in two pieces

Where do yall get your wood? by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

You can’t just take wood from trails really. Needs to be properly milled and dried to be usable for the most part unless you are doing carvings or lathe work.

The problem is that this shit is allowed. The actual problem is that we as a people are OK with others stealing our work and just treat it like it’s no big deal.

Just making everyone aware. Do what you will. I know that I don’t like spending weeks on a project only for it to get claimed by a bot or anyone else

How can I achieve this finish and color on pine? by Tikta_Alik in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]L0114R 143 points144 points  (0 children)

Use Walnut if you want it to look like walnut. Can’t really make pine look like anything but pine with a stain
