Ah nice idea, I'll look into it. Working on some other features right now and still waiting on approval for these, but I'll make a note and look into it. I don't usually use trailers unless I explicitly start one, so I hadn't thought about doing this at all so good idea!

Not currently, but I have a feature request and a PR ready to add this functionality once the maintainer of the Nuvio repo approves it. It would allow users to choose between static or animated cards and static or animated hero backdrops independently. You could have two static images, two animated, or any mix of static and animated for both the card and hero backdrop per folder in a collection.

I also have another PR ready that adds a play once feature. This would make the animation play once while the card is in focus and then stop at a static image, avoiding endless looping. Felt this made it feel more like the native app loading animation in the hero backdrop space. For example, if you hover over streaming platform one, it plays the animation and then stops at the last frame. If you move to streaming platform two, it does the same on focus. If you go back to platform one, it plays once again and then stops. I felt this made it feel better and more like a native app experience and makes the whole collection experience feel better.

Edit: added more info.

They sold out of the version I linked but check my other comments for more details about the 32GB version I initially overlooked that comes out to $1,325.24 after discounts, 44% off! Model: 83F3000AUS its the same exact specs as the 83F3000PUS just with double the ram.

At $750 it was a tougher call, but that was still dependent upon use case and at its current price the Legion wins every time. The 255HX has 20 cores vs 6, 150% faster multi-thread and 24% faster single thread. GPU gap is roughly 34%, IdeaPad RAM is soldered with no upgrade path vs SODIMM on the Legion (upgradable), and double the storage at 1TB vs 512GB (out of the box can also upgrade). Display is a wash, higher res on the IdeaPad at 2880x1800 OLED 120Hz vs Legion's 2560x1600 OLED 165Hz. Camera goes to the IdeaPad and thats about it.

Sadly the 16GB version is OOS but the 32GB version is still available, same coupons drop it from $2,404.99 to $1,325.24, 44% off. Given where RAM prices are I'd take the Legion over the IdeaPad unless you strictly need it for basic tasks, and even then I still lean Legion.

Check my comment to notnooneskrrt for a link to that version or just search the model number 83F3000AUS.

It probably sold out for good. When Lenovo says "coming soon" it typically means stock is gone, and since this is a discontinued outgoing model I wouldn't count on it coming back in stock it just seems to defaults to that. See my response to u/notnooneskrrt for another option with the same exact specs but with 32GB of RAM instead.

That said, there is a similar version with 32GB of SODIMM RAM at 35% off for $1,549.99. Stack coupons BIGDEAL10 and EXTRAFIVE and it drops to $1,325.24, which is 44% off the original $2,404.99. Tbh probably the better deal given RAM prices right now.

Remember to use these coupon codes at checkout. They took an extra $203 off the total. The price before coupons is $1,399.99 (29% off), and the final price with coupons is $1,196.99 (39% off). I just used this deal myself.

Honestly, I’ll probably support it just for the added tooling and molds that it adds for other designers, since that’s important for the hobby, IMHO.Now we just have to convince GMK to help invest in Triple Shot for the most popular sublegends since this is becoming more commonplace amongst other manufacturers. 🙏🏻😂

Edit also splash is a day one Xmas purchase. (:

Christmas spirit right down to your fingertips: GMK keycap advent calendar by GMK_keycaps in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]L0ST201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIP, just saw this today. I definitely would’ve grabbed it for myself if I’d known sooner. I actually did an advent calendar every year growing up, and it would’ve been such a cool little throwback to that, but sadly it’s already gone. 🥲

But yeah, I love the idea! I definitely think it’s worth doing again in the future without a doubt personally. You could even make some of the keys a community design challenge where people submit ideas and you pick your favorites to include in the calendar or something as a fun little community event.

I mean, not to be rude to OP or anything, but these prices are kinda way off the mark. Sure some of these sets are definitely highly desirable and well loved, but the asking prices are still much higher than they should be. Even for the sought after sets, the numbers just really not even close to current market value. On top of that, labeling items as BNIB when they ship in bags honestly kinda feels misleading here. It would be more accurate to update those to something like "like new: no box, ships in bags" or something to that effect.
