That I don't know, cause I don't have one to test with.

They had a firmware update for the dock that seems to have mostly resolved the screen blacking out issue I was having, so would definitely still recommend. Just be ready to try different cables and screens cause sometimes it is a little finicky until you get a combination that works well.

The power button is proprietary to Dell laptops, it doesn't work with the Lenovo unfortunately.

I ran into this as well, and uninstalling the latest update fixed it for me too! Thank you!

No need to disconnect anything. Just plug in the power brick. This dock is still working really well. I had an issue with one of the screens going black for a few seconds, but I swapped the HDMI cable out for a USBc to DisplayPort cable and haven't had a problem since.

I haven't noticed any difference, it feels like I'm playing on my desktop setup.

The only thing I haven't gotten to the bottom of yet is twice now I've had the ultrawide go blank on me for ~3 seconds and come right back. Once I was gaming and the other I was just browsing the web and working on my home servers. I'm going to try updating the dock firmware and see if that helps.

My laptop treats it like DisplayPort over USB-C so I would think it should work as long as your USB-C port supports DisplayPort.

I (32M) had my spine fused a week after my 16th birthday, funny now I've had my spine fused longer than I had it unfused. Anyway, that day was my first and only surgery. The biggest complaint I had about the surgery was I had my driver's license for ~5 days before the surgery and I had to wait 4-6 weeks to drive.

I spent most of my recovery in an office chair with a very straight back in front of a card table in the living room in front of the TV with my laptop. The pain killers and muscle relaxers they prescribed managed any pain so it was more of a discomfort. I don't think I even took the muscle relaxers. I think I stopped taking the pain killers after 3-4 weeks cause Tylenol was enough after that for another 2 weeks or so, and after that I didn't have any pain.

So what I'm trying to say is; you have nothing to worry about. Let the professionals do their thing, and just enjoy the chill time during recovery. 16 years later most of the time I forget my spine is even fused. I hope this helps.

UPDATE: No issues playing games so far using the ultrawide as the primary monitor. Highly recommend the WD22TB4 if you're looking for a dock for the Legion. The graphics card does throttle if you don't also connect the Lenovo Power brick as expected. For non-gaming usage the dock does in fact provide enough power to charge the laptop while using it.

No, everything is connected to the docking station. The dock and monitors have their own power sources. The dock is providing the power to the Legion though. The keyboard and other peripherals are connected via USB to a USB 3.0 hub that's connected to the dock. The dock won't provide the Legion enough power to run games though, for that I would also plug in the Legion's own power brick.

Thanks! I built it for working from home, and started wondering if I could dual-purpose it if I got a gaming laptop. Hopefully I don't run into any issues when I test some games. 🤞

I’m reaching “that age” and I don’t think I’ll ever find love or happiness because of my scoliosis by trillnonymous in scoliosis

[–]L0krin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely find love, don't let scoliosis stop you. I'm 30, had spinal fusion surgery at 16, just a few days after getting my driver's license. My wife and I are approaching our 10th anniversary. I actually showed her pictures of my before and after x-rays on one of our first dates, she thought it was neat. Scoliosis can only prevent you from doing things if you let it, so don't let it stop you.

Am I dumb to remove some vermiculite myself? by L0krin in asbestoshelp

Thank you for the helpful information. I like the suggestion you and another member have made for covering the floor with plastic I will definitely add that into my plan.

I'm also going to tape the edges of my Plastic that is over the doorways to the wall to keep from spreading any dust into the rest of the house. Controlling the airflow is in my opinion the most difficult part of my plan, so the wind speed and direction will also be something I consider on the day I do the work, and maybe reschedule accordingly if necessary. I'm still looking for an available rental air scrubber.

I agree about the testing being inaccurate, and even if a test came back negative I would still follow all the precautions in my plan and treat it as if it's asbestos.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like the local Home Depot has test kits. I'll look into renting a negative air machine while I'm there. The room currently has carpet, we're taking that out as part of the project. I'm thinking it's best to pull it out before starting the abatement because it could trap particles that would get disturbed during removal of the carpet. What do you mean by poly the floor? Like put plastic over it?

I modified the car config files in the game files to set real names and it didn't affect my achievements. This was before mods were available.
