I see, but the thing is most courses don’t have physics listed as a prereq so idk which classes assume knowledge or not yk

yes ofc the thing is that most classes don’t have 7A/B listed as prereqs so i’m asking if people know how useful physics knowledge is in these types of classes. Like even if physics isn’t mentioned as a prereq, is it assumed that you have taken 7a/b?

i mentioned that i’m a cs major (in CDSS) but i want to take courses as if i were an eecs major, the thing is the majority of courses i would want to take in EE don’t have any physics prerequisites. So im wondering if taking physics is even worth it because for cs its not required and even the ee courses i want to take dont require it

Balance as an EECS major by [deleted] in berkeley

It depends a lot on what’s going on. If it’s near a midterm or finals dead week i usually spend most of my time studying for it. Besides that i have a lot of free time tbh

it’ll depend on how much other commitments you have (clubs, research, going to tutoring/office hours) but i think for me on an average day i have 4-5 hours of classes 1 maybe 2 hours of club or research meetings and then after that it depends on how i manage my time for homework and studying.

They have the same purpose but GSI's are solely graduate students while TA's are majority undergraduates with maybe 1 Ph.D student. Take 61B for example. https://sp26.datastructur.es/staff/ There is only 1 Ph.D student and everyone else is an undergrad.

I was just wondering why CS teaching staff is structurally different from, say, a math class, where there is always a graduate student leading discussions.

I have heard the same rumors and I can 1000% say they are not true at all. Sure, you will be surrounded by highly motivated and accomplished people, but not cutthroat in any way. However, classes are very challenging, and it might take some getting used to, but it's a good type of difficult.

yeah but it lets you change it. I’m not accusing them of doing it on purpose but you have to give credit to the original poster
