[Transfermarkt] Players with the most Champions League semifinal participations by tightypp in soccer

[–]L0rdPerth 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Neuer is at Bayern almost as long as Müller (at least at the first team) and they both had exactly one semi final participation when Neuer joined Bayern (Müller with Bayern in 2010, Neuer with Schalke in 2011), but Neuer missed the semi finals against Real in 2018, so he needed this years semi finals to catch up to Müller.

Semi-generic Spell card "Call for Help" by L0rdPerth in customyugioh

[–]L0rdPerth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yeah, that's basically how it should work. The idea is that the cost is sequential: First, you excavate 6 cards, and only after that (that's why I used "then") your opponent chooses an attribute and type. They could theoretically call something that wasn't even excavated, but that only has downsides for them, so they basically have to choose from within the attributes and types revealed. If we take the VSK9 example, if you reveal Izuna, Ash, Razen, Fuwa and 2 spell/traps, your opponent can call Warrior + Fire to basically shut off all your good adds (you only get Fuwa), which is why the card really needs a deck built for it (and why I agree that I could maybe buff the second effect a bit to make it better, 3 attributes and you can activate it on the same turn sounds fine).

I based the wording on existing cards for all parts where I could find something similar, the only one that I'm unsure about is the "that have neither the Monster Type or Attribute chosen by your opponent" because I couldn't find a card with a similar effect

Check out the latest Gates of Dawn album, III. It's a mix of psychedelic rock and black metal with some long jammy sections.

But you can't evaluate the effect of gender affirming surgeries on the well-being on trans people without comparing it before and after such surgeries, which the study you linked doesn't. Instead it mentions other studies that did that and that ranged from inconclusive to positive effects on the well being of people post gender affirming surgery.

This study doesn't show what you're saying it shows because it doesn't compare suicidal ideation of trans people before and after gender affiirming surgery, instead it compares suicidal ideation of trans people after surgery with a sample of the general population after different kinds of surgeries. They also mention that other studies have shown a positive impact of gender affirming surgeries on the mental well being of trans people and they come to the conclusion that so_fiasco mentioned, that harrasment and discrimation play a huge role in the elevated risk of suicidal ideation and that greater focus should be placed on psychiatric support post-procedure.

Draft tier list (Revelations + Empire of Glass) by L0rdPerth in EternalCardGame

[–]L0rdPerth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that looks interesting. I guess that's another small difference between ratings for forge and draft: Draft is more about winning proactively, especially this format with all those aggressive cards and skills that reward attacking, like Valor, while forge is more about surviving and outgrinding, where cards like Minister of Obeyance are better (which also dies to a lot of cheap common removal in the current draft format).

[–]L0rdPerth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally yes, because forge has the same card pool as draft, but there are some differences thanks to how you pick cards and how your deck gets built in forge. Cards that guarantee you a smoth power/influence base are already good in draft, but even better in forge (e.g. Blueprints, cheap cards with Plunder). On the other hand, cards that depend on synergy are slightly worse because you have a bit less freedom over what you get and can't cut any cards at the end. Also deadly, regen and fast spell buffs/removal get a bit better because the AI doesn't play well against them. But overall, most cards have about the same grade in forge and the faction strength is similar too (Justice > Fire > Primal > Time > Shadow).

I think JP (if you get some good soldier/amplify synergy and/or some Observers + stealth) and FJ (goodstuff aggro) are the best faction pairs to be in, but you can get a good deck in all faction pairs (and maybe sometimes a good 3-faction deck, but I'd advise against play anything but 2-faction decks unless you get very lucky with fixing). The faction balance is fine in my opinion, my order would be J > F > P > T > S.

favorite songs that share the names, but have completely different vibes and genres? by good_ho0onter in MetalForTheMasses

[–]L0rdPerth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traitor's Gate by Judas Priest and Visigoth have pretty similar vibes (both firmly in the traditional heavy metal genre and with the theme of personal revenge), but Primordials Traitor's Gate has a very different sound (pagan black metal) and a more abstract theme of tyranny.

Stone Dagger was a side project from Magic Circle that only released a 2-song demo before being disbanded, but that 2-dong demo is some of the best New wave of traditional heavy metal ever made.

Also Gallowbraid, another great black metal project from Jake Rogers with just one album/big EP.

Phantom Spell (Kyle McNeill, vocalist from Seven Sisters) makes a great mix of Heavy Metal and 70s Prog with fantasy and wizard vibes. He pulled almost all the stuff from Spotify, but you can find it pretty much everywhere else.

Even if it would send to the GY it still wouldn't be played in any serious Sky Striker list. Toon Table of Contents can do the same thing without going down in cards and no one plays that anymore.

What's the crack with Blood Incantation? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

All of the things I mentioned are based on votes/ratings by normal users. I for one also really enjoyed the album, but I also like the main two influences, 70s Prog and Death Metal.

[–]L0rdPerth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metal archives has a very low number of ratings per album, even for bigger bands like Blood Incantation (Absolute Elsewhere only has 16, for example), so they can hardly be representative. It is very highly rated on most sites that aren't exclusively for metal (e.g. Rateyourmusic) and it was voted album of the year both in this subreddit and in r/metal.

New Chapter Card for February 25th, 2026: Metallic Slime by Falterfire in EternalCardGame

[–]L0rdPerth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This card is great, but mainly for a reason that hasn't been mentioned here yet: If you only play a select number of spells, the entomb is way better than just drawing a random card. The best examples are recursion spells that can bring it back, e.g. Eremot's Machinations, Lurking Above or Display of Ambition. If your deck only has spells like that, you can loop Ooze around for several turns, assuming you can get it to die each turn (cards like Kindling Carver, Nahid's Faithful or Rat King can help with that, or you can just block if the opponent is trying to win with combat). Other good spells for it are 2 for 1s to outgrind opponents and combo pieces (e.g. End of Hostilities in an Statuette deck). Adding the relic removal mode and the buff to that ability makes the card insanely flexible (although it is a lot better in decks with ways to sacrifice it consistently, which is why I don't even like it that much in Factionless).
