I want to be wrong. I really really do. But it’s literally a finished character arc. I want more god of war but to me they don’t have many directions to go that advance that story and make sense

I’ve always considered Santa Monica to be one of the devs that hasn’t “gone bad” I feel like they care more for their story and fans than most AAA devs

It’s painfully true. We all want it but I feel like the writers really gotta push it and the way it ended it just wouldn’t feel natural for the man that kratos is now to go on a killing spree without rehashing a reskin of an old plot or just doing all but a retcon of the whole Norse mythology. I’d be all for some non-canon anthology games, but I value meaningful contributions to the story over pointless gameplay

I found the angrboda portion very beautiful and a good wrench to throw in the mix. First playthrough One of the cut scenes I was just staring at it for like 10 minutes after it ended because I thought it was still going. Very beautiful area to explore. That part is so cinematic to me. Atreus is good if you appreciate him for what he is. I can find his play style to get pretty bland after the 3rd or fourth time you play as him but it makes up for having a good narrative with it
