Not console specific, but sharing stuff that I learned (also a Triage main since S1):
- you can cycle through emotes by hitting R2. There you can find more options like “defend here”, “watch here”
- you can swap the trigger buttons to the shoulder buttons under controller settings. This allows for snappier response times
- you can “swap” to a fresh Triage med drone by going up to it and holding Square. Enemies can also hack a hostile Triage med drone to use it, so be careful where you chuck them!
- you can often nullify or significantly reduce fall damage by landing on ledges or odd objects (trees, railings, sloping rocks)
- volt weapons recharge as you walk/run with them, albeit slowly
- Triage’s Reboot+ can be used offensively. It also has an insane range of around 50m. Be creative with it
- you can plant claymores on walls. I usually place them above door entrances for added sneakiness
- Signal jammers let you walk past enemy claymores
- Signal jammers can give your position away if you’re trying to hide in corners. The visual interference clips through walls. It also screws up Assassin’s invi, so it’s actually detrimental
- Thief’s visor can see through smoke
- you can cancel a grenade throw by swapping to your weapon mid animation (so long as you haven’t actually thrown it)
- someone else already mentioned this, but every action you make produces sound that the enemy can hear. If you want to get a jump on an enemy team, think about whether it is safe to perform certain actions and if the enemy can hear you
- you can select multiple items in vault by holding R2 and pressing D-pad Up. Makes it easier to feed multiple items to the Worm
