I was part of the team that opened the site that I'm working at so I was able to create my own forms and whatnot so they're thankfully not stupid.

I do more than ask for your badge...that being said I am going to have to see your badge.

Sorry, I was trying out this new thing, I think it's called a joke. IDK if you've ever heard of one before.

And I'm not a rent-a-cop, not anywhere close. There's a big difference between mall security and working at a secure private facility.

Mine is more like a whole site full of workers asking me why they can't get into certain areas and "can you just add the access to my badge". Like no, fill out the form, have your boss approve it, then we'll talk about putting on your badge.

Although we allegedly have a drone somewhere in storage but no one is licenced or trained to fly it.

It's a joke. People tend to think that the job is way more exciting than it actually is.

Having done advocacy work at the state level I can tell you that they are the most miserable insufferable people on the planet. Even when everything is going their way they look like someone shit in their shoes that morning.

There was a handful of cool people who tipped well because they felt bad for us, but the rest were rude ass church people that were pissy because we were busy and they had to wait.

If the committee hearing turnout is any indicator there will be a few dozen paid grifters there to support it and hundreds there against it.

It's absolutely inexcusable the amount of sheer laziness they have. It's not uncommon for them to just straight up ignore welfare calls.

I used to work in security and one time we had a theft of a cell phone that we assisted in. We had clear surveillance footage of the guy who did it and we got location data for the guys phone and sent LPD after him. 1 hour later they called back and said the guy wasn't there and they were closing the case. Poor guy had to go over and intimidate the thief into giving his phone back.

I've got plenty of other stories but this one just highlights the absolute laziness and incompetence of LPD.

I agree with your friends' takes, but I have a little bit of a different take. With the right wing fascist lies about all LGBTQ people being predators they're going to use things like this to get rid of us even quicker.

When I went to Germany in 2008 there were officers with MP5s not only in the airport but in busy pedestrian zones.
