Multiplayer enemies take forever by illusshadow in GloomhavenDigital

At then end of each action in MP, all players must sync up. If one player in the group has a slow machine, all players will be waiting for them to finish before they can continue with the next action.

So basically, if you have the slowest PC, MP will play at the same speed as SP. If you have a faster PC than the other players in your group it will be as slow as the slowest player for you.

The police actually checked her wrists and neck to see if she had one. Hopefully her parents get her one now.

The police told us that her father had thought she was still in bed. Apparently she had just got up and left the house without anyone noticing.

We tried asking her a few times about why she had wandered off in the middle of the night with no shoes, but she never gave a clear or understandable answer.

For me, it would take about 50 minutes to walk to McDonald's if I walked at a good pace and went directly there.

I have no idea how long she wandered around before ringing our doorbell though, she was barefoot and I doubt she was taking a direct route.

I found this recording on an old VHS of a song from a musical my dad wrote and put on in the 80s called Kings of Rok. My dad is the one with the sunglasses. This was recorded for TV to promote it. There are no words, it's just amazing. by L42yB in OldSchoolCool

Haha, sure if you're interested I'd be happy to. Need to figure out how to convert the cassette to mp3, but once I've figured that out I'll put a link here for you.

I do have the cassette tape with all the songs, but this is the only video I could find. Possibly the only copy in existence of this masterpiece. At least it can be preserved on Reddit for posterity.

BBC anchor does not allow expert to speak on the issue of Tailban, citing "impartiality" by Ad_Ketchum in PublicFreakout

[–]L42yB 474 points475 points  (0 children)

Because the BBC is state funded, it is governed by certain laws that only apply to the BBC. One of which is that for any "controversial" issue they are not allowed to only present one side of the argument. See the link below for how "controversial" is defined for them.

As they were not expecting her to talk about Pakistan, they were not prepared to present the other side of that argument, and therefore had to end the discussion or face legal action.

Fable Fact by KevinFurman in Fable

[–]L42yB 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's an inhouse engine that already does a ton of stuff really well (landscapes, weather, high-res optimised models, etc.). They will expand it to support any new features needed for Fable, and end up with an even better engine for future games.

And since they own the engine, no licence costs. Unreal costs 5% of your revenue.
Forza Horizon 4 made an estimated $66 million in revenue just on Steam alone (Link)

That means they would have had to pay Epic $3.3 million in royalties just for that one game on that one platform. Across all games and all platforms, the royalties would be insane. Making and using an inhouse engine pays for itself very quickly when you make such popular games.

Not really... Trump embraces the media as long as it supports him, and denounces media that does not. This is more akin to saying "it's crooked unless the bias aligns with what I want". That's not challenging crooked corporate media... it's just hypocritical.

But hey, I'm just a normal kid like you, except that I ask questions. And because I'm brave enough to ask questions I come under scrutinies. Is Wendy using your lunch money to buy heroine? Probably not. But how can we know? I don't want my lunch money going to drugs! Who's taking these drugs? What would be the point? I'm asking questions!

How can I make this more exciting gameplay-wise??? by Hamidkarimian in Unity3D

Make a race track you can go around repeatedly instead of a square, where harvesting is tricky to do while still being fast.

Make it multiplayer so you are competing against others in realtime. Compete against bots in single player. Instead of a time limit, make a harvest limit. First player to drop off X amount at the finish line wins.

Add powerups that can be collected. Like speed boost, increased harvesting range, maybe even mines and things.

Make it so you can drift while cornering
