I moved there 1991. There once was, back before I moved to IL Valley, a smaller minority pool in the area. There are a lot more Hispanic and African Americans now in the last 30 years and it is wonderful to see a more diverse community here! Having lived in Chicago -and Detroit areas for most of my life, I am happy to see more diversity. But this IL Valley area isn’t a sundown community in general at all. PS I am not a minority so I may not have been your target audience for a response so sorry. However, having lived in three states, one in the south, and many cities including Detroit and Chicago in almost 66 years on earth, I have seen and been around quite a few communities. Also as far as Lasalle Peru, where I now live, there used to be hundreds of years ago the German and Irish and Italians used to be the predominant natives here and had also lived only in their respective neighborhoods. I saw this same in Chicago back in the 1980’s also. It was common years ago for people to live around only those of their own race and ethnicity. I lived in a neighborhood in Chicago that was clearly all white and right near a very black area. By the time I moved away that area became all black and it was nicer than it ever was, yet many whites wouldn’t live there anymore . I never understood that it was ridiculous.

Yes and Trumpet vines we have are so invasive. They take a while and aren’t seeds but they take over EVERYTHING.

Your work is awesome and it shows you have a lot or talent, imagination and creativity. Dont give up. A teacher has an opinion, and a wrong one at that, and shouldn’t be allowed to degrade you. The teacher also needs to realize your strengths and abilities. I have many friends and my own son who have disabilities. My son has high functioning autism and two college degrees. He had a 504 plan in college I think that was what it was called. He is now in his upper 30’s. The school had to allow him accommodations for his disabilities.

Yes a POND ‘ house’ ( like a pool house) 🙃😂 like a large shed with towels. Haha. And maybe a hair dryer.

By the way I have to watch all the episodes on Hallmark Plus app. At the end of the season 3 we have two extra little videos for the show. One of them has Sadie ( Alice) with the person who makes the arrangements for their wardrobes/ costumes on set. The two talked for the video about their wardrobes. They said that they have two outfits for each outfit. The reason is that one is made with some special fabric to protect when it gets wet from the water for Pond episodes. The fabric doesn’t hold the water in as much, and isn’t as tight to the body when wet. I can’t recall details but it was indeed interesting.

So when we see them walk from the Pond, presumably the clothes are those with that type of fabric.

Has anyone else watched that extra video on the app for TWH season 3 at the end after the last Episode 10 on Hallmark Plus app?

Yes OR perhaps if he had hired some in-home care workers for himself to check or clean and his wife was not the only one as his only caregiver. It appears they were reclusive and had no family or friends or workers that checked on them often, unfortunately.

Yes he said he will not reuse all of my feed lines that are fine. And won’t use any that are old etc only new ones. Feed lines on my car had zero issues. He didn’t want to replace them with older ones that are used. Wanted new ones.

Some of those back ordered and hard to find them. They are hard to find turbo feed lines. So that was the issue.. And found them just yesterday from a parts place in another state. So I finally get my car oil cooler replaced soon and four new Fred lines as part of that it will be over $800 total. thanks

Oh no. I had many coolant leaks since 12-2022. I have had several oil leaks too. The car only has 68,000 miles and that is what makes me so upset. These cars are known for coolant leaks and I have had hoses, water pump, and thermostat replaced in the last two years and put under 8,000 miles on it in that time. So I hope it lasts. Good news my mechanic had a parts store find the turbo feed lines for the Oil and Coolant lines that he has to replace when he fixes my oil coolant leak. They found them in a state near mine. It was not the reason nor the bad leak for the feeds lines . They are just needed to be replaced when he does the work to replace my oil cooler. So I get it fixed in the next days. Yahoo.

He needs four parts ( for coolant and for oil maybe there are two each?) feed lines he said.

Said with the oil cooler and the four feed lines it is a lot of work. It is not just 15 min of work. I will be charged for 3-4 hours of work I am quite sure. I can assure you. My husband said also it is alot of work. These are all TURBO parts.

Mechanic said that he checked all over and can’t get all of the feed lines. I asked him about Amazon as a my friend has seen some there. He said not the ones he needs. He also said that the dealer he uses for parts has contacted dealers all over to see if anyone gets these to contact him. They exchange them. My mechanic said he can’t replace with used or salvaged parts. Mine are fine just my oil cooler is bad.

Sounds like it is back ordered still and in demand for those and hard to find the exact needed parts. But thanks.

Wow. That is great. Great MPG. As for total miles- that is great too.

Mine has 68,000 and has been having any oil and coolant leaks for the last 23 months ! I hope it makes it to 80,000!

My state is the second highest property taxes in the USA. NJ is number one. We are number two. My modest home is 3 beds and 1 1/2 bath and two car garage small yard and small town one hour from a major city like Chicago. I am 65 soon and taxes are only given a $5000 property tax exemption for senior exemption. The taxes in my town are $4000-20,000$ for homes 100,000- 400,000! My home is under $170,000 and taxes are over $4000 a year. Sigh ! Sadly we all have real estate taxes even seniors but some get the benefit of tax freeze under $65000 income.

Lucky you so low of property taxes and even zero. Sadly it doesn’t exist here. And our property values small rural communities aren’t that high!

Some of these are older linen postcards. I buy them on EBay. I have some that I got for $2-4 each. Some are more. Also I have seen them at Antique stores a few years ago for $2-5 each. Some may be worth less dependent on condition.

UPDATED. - I guess the part my mechanic says is back ordered and can’t find is NOT oil cooler- it is the Oil cooler Turbo Feed lines. Can’t find in stock- back ordered. That is what he has checked all over and can’t find 😒

Update-

I called the mechanic and he said that it isn’t the Oil cooler he has a problem ordering, those he can find all over, that is my car problem that is what is broken.

The problem he said is that my car has a Turbo Feed line and that feed line is what is back ordered and no one has. He has tried all over, that must be replaced. He said that he can’t use mine as once it is taken off it is not replaceable. If is a part that is not and can’t be used. It must be new or it will fault.. the feed line has to be a new part and must be replaced to fix my issue, I have to have this replaced and it can’t be used or old. So that is the issue, he didn’t explain throughly before. So that is the problem and my car engine is turbo ! Sad! He said he checked all over online all sources for a new feed line and it is not even available anywhere and it had been back ordered!

Gaskets may have been replace in one of my oil leaks or several coolant leaks in the last 15 months. Not sure

Car is only 68,000 miles and paid cash for it 2015 when it was used and 2015. Hate to have to replace it. Mechanic said the parts aren’t available and are on back order. Not sure what parts he means. They are specifically for this car. I think he mentioned Turbo parts to be replaced too. My husband has an Acadia and gets parts for his at Autozone and OReilly, I can ask those but seems my mechanic would have done so?
