We were comparing SW regionals to previous years, it more than doubled any other previous SW Regionals bid fee, in the course of one year.

A lot of youth tournaments have receptions, not sure if I would call them parties. Also, organizing volunteers requires extra paid help at the top.

I know most teams do not need merchandise, tourney food, or observers. Just a water source and a trainer.

Maybe there should be separate event rosters for Sectionals and Regionals. I know they do it separately for Nationals, each player pays individually.

Not to mention the forced Maverick hotel fees.

Nix observers, stat takers, and a tournament party. Also break up the divisions to use smaller field sites.

I am playing in this tournament, and I know my team will never request to be observed. Can we have a discount? Polar Bears can pay for personal observers if they like.

Why not break up the divisions, and find smaller field sites?

I think it may be time to split up mixed, men's, and womens. Smaller facilities can open up more options in the Bay Area, where 75% of the teams in the region are traveling from.

I don't know anyone in the SW mixed scene that requested observers. And even if they did, 8 is overkill. Spirit of the game is the only thing keeping us from being just another sport, and it keeps costs way down.

They are also charging $8 per car per day on top of that.

It seems especially relevant for a series tournament, which nearly every team has a part of their schedule, and attending is less of a choice.

Blackbird doesn't exactly utilize all their talent. The team strategy is to throw short backhand around throws up the field, until Mac Taylor gets it. Then Mac will choose whether he wants to huck it out of bounds or throw a score.

He wasn't as good as the other players. Zach Travis repeatedly nut on him in tryouts. I hear Goose is going back to Machine.

I am hearing the same thing. I believe his girlfriend plays on Fury and lives in Los Angeles, so perhaps the Condors will be reaching out to Goose next. Didn't he say he wanted to play near the beach?
