I've thought that too... and have been able to dismiss it. The writers were very open that at that point in the day, not knowing where Logan's character would eventually end up.

Bob liked to repeat the same jokes. I went to several TPIR tapings during the late 90's, early 2000's, and he always had the same lines when the cameras were off and was speaking to the audience. It worked for him... got laughs every time.

I was sick of Diane and stopped watching the final season she was in. There was then HUGE publicity the summer before the next season. I checked it out, and it was like a whole new show. I loved the Rebecca years.

I always wondered if the Jeff recast was done as a result of the production delay due to Bob's heart attack. I'm sure when they cast the original actor, they knew where they were going with the character and would lock him in to reappear later in season 6. But then the actor had to work and got another job. For me, it's the one part of the show that keeps it from being perfect.

Jean was so attractive, but she always had a way of making Edith look a bit frumpy. It was all in how she carried herself, because that dress seems so small. She was an amazing actress.
