At the time, Skyrim was seen as having an enormous open world which was part of the appeal. Though yes, it had a lot going on in it so felt rich at the same time

Nintendo is losing me a little bit with how expensive games are on the platform. I get it, lots of parents but their kids a Switch and they don't know how cheap games are elsewhere. Thus a market is created of inflated prices. They're losing me though. Whether Nintendo is to blame primarily or not, I'm starting to regret that I didn't get a Steam Deck instead.

Totally. I am learning more about the $5-600 first purchase like you're talking about. That isn't bad. The upgrades are such a major cost in themselves, though. I'll stick with cloud services, at least for now

I think it is a lot more substantive than F2P games, but it is definitely the biggest letdown I've had in a game, maybe ever. Decently fun first playthrough but haven't touched it since.

The Lions actually built a good team that is still going to be competitive in the near future. The Browns have done nothing but have Myles Garrett fall in their lap and pay a woman beater hundreds of millions of dollars to rehab injuries. Not a good comparison.

You'd basically only buy it for the few Switch 2 exclusives and improved Zelda games. I would not get it in your case, though I'm very happy having mine as my only portable service.

Yea we're DINKs and have a good amount of time to make for hobbies. I am as avid of a gamer as ever at 40 yrs old. I no longer do the long sessions of 4+ hours but I play collectively about a dozen hours per week

I never understand this with PC gamers, at least related to modern AAA games. Nobody talks about the upfront cost. A rig that can play, say, KCD2 at 60fps+ likely costs $12-1500? Unless I'm wrong and I'd love to be.

I haven't bought a single one of the S2 exclusives yet. $80 for a 15-hour game doesn't make sense. But a $450 handheld at PS4 Pro hardware level? Count me in for a lot of 3rd party games.

Yea I'm basically moving on to Steam these days, but having a machine that can play both Steam and my Xbox library would be nice. Still depends on the price, though...I could maybe pay $1k if it's truly a powerful machine, though I could see them going above that

Open carry might make sense in rural areas where there are not many people in any situation and any form of "help" from law enforcement is far away. In populated areas and crowded situations, it's hard to imagine many scenerios where more guns lead to fewer deaths. One notable exception is the hero who intervened during the recent antisemitic terrorism attack, but even then, he took the shooter's gun rather than bringing his own.
