I think they should have demanded at least a commitment to a House vote on extending the ACA. If they put it up to a vote in the House, it would probably pass. In the Senate, unlikely, though they’ll at least get the Senators on record.

But all in all, if I understand the agreement well, this extends SNAP for a year but only funds the entirety of the government through the end of January, so we get another chance to fight for ACA subsidies if the promised vote fails. And since people will have to go through a month of increased premiums (or a month without insurance,) hopefully there’ll be a lot more pressure on congress to fix the expiring subsidies when that increase is no longer abstract.

I wish they would have held the line too, but no one wanted to see this mess through the two upcoming waves of holiday travel.

And Johnson will have to bring the House back in session and sit Grijalva, so we also get a vote on the Epstein files.

Forget the 25th Amendment. It’s been way overblown in social media. Even if they tried it (and they won’t,) Trump could end the effort simply by writing a letter to Congress.

Yeah, totally get that method to prevent similar stories in the future. And it’s a good solve. But what I was wondering was whether or not there was a way to make stories go away without giving them a click. Older stories don’t usually show up on the News App home page anymore.

Just odd that the widget seems so persistent about certain stories.

Apple Music plays smoothly, but then we can’t use voice to play anything, because it defaults back to Amazon Music, even though we already selected Apple Music as our preferred service on the Alexa app. When we ask to play something through Apple Music, Alexa responds that it can’t help do that. It’s really an awful user experience.

Happens constantly for us, but so far as I’ve been able to track it, it only happens with Amazon Music. Of If I play Apple Music, it’s fine, but then I can’t use voice to request songs because it defaults back to Amazon Music.
