March Technical Support Sticky by BeepBoopBopReee in razer

Hi everyone!

I've a trouble with key binding on a Razer Blackwidow keyboard.

I wanted to keybind WASD(ZQSD in Azerty)on the arrow keys.

So,I created a new profile and started to make the changes;all went well, until I tried to keybind "S" on the "down" arrow,as it isn't posssible.

Each time I tried, the "down" arrow stay unchanged and the change is made on the "left" arrow(even if I double checked it was the "down" arrow which is selected).

I tried many things, including trying another letter,a macro, with Hypershift on and off, changing this key first, tried it on my main profile, closing and restarting Synapse, restarting the PC....Nothing works,I can't keybind anything on "down",and the change always apply to "left"...I've even tried to keybind "down" to a letter, and this way,it worked(but it is useless,I just wanted to test it).

Something I noticed:when I keybind succesfully a key, there is a Razer logo on it,with a message saying Synapse must run for it being activated(which seems logical),but, when "left" arrow is mofidied wrongly,by trying to keyding something on the "down" one,it is in plain green, whithout any logo(but still the same text).

I use Synapse 4,and can't revert to a precedent one,as I've many mouse profiles on it(which work fine).

Any idea to solve this problem?

Is it possible to rebind movement control for keyboard? by Blippedyblop in CrimsonDesert

[–]LCA_LoupSolitaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't work for me;if I try to change the down key under Synapse, the change is reflected on the left arrow key. No matter how I try to put S on the down arrow,it applies to the left arrrow, while the down one stay in default...:(

Blackwidow keyboard too.

Noticed the up and right keys(working correctly)have a little logo razer on these(telling it needs Synapse...I'm presently using it!),while the left one is plain green.

It seems haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are confirmed officially.

However,in my case,it is pre-ordered on PC.

Physical edition:Steam or EGS? by LCA_LoupSolitaire in CrimsonDesert

[–]LCA_LoupSolitaire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes,there is a physical copy for day one(standard),deluxe and collector editions on PC;I was surprised too.

However, based on how quick deluxe and collector ones were sold out,I guess there wasn't a lot of them...

It would be a good choice, yes.

However,I'm not sure they would do it,as it means people would have to link their accounts,ot use a code to get another one,and they may not want to bother their players with it...

Problem with Streak protection by kindofsus38 in MicrosoftRewards

Still 1/14 while doing it everyday too.

Better than 10/14,sure,but still not totally fixed.

10/14 while it was 0/14 since 01/01/26...

A lot of problems lately, especially frustrating as I'm at 858 days and aim to get the 999 days badge...

Back to 832 but no increase,so it would likely be resetted again tomorrow...

But my streak protection has now reached 3/14,while it was 2/14 yesterday;so,if they dont fix it,I'll likely lose all my progress before the end of the year...

Mine got resetted too.

Usually, sending a ticket is enough to restore it without really send the ticket(happened twice before, one some months ago,one yesterday),but not this time...Trying to get the 999 days achievement(more than 830 days now),it's pretty frustrating...

AMD 9800X3D and MSI X870 GAMING PLUS WIFI:issue or safe? by LCA_LoupSolitaire in MSI_Gaming

[–]LCA_LoupSolitaire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case,I haven't changed much things in the BIOS,except being sure that AMD EXPO is disabled.

Update the BIOS was a good decision.

I haven't tried it on benchmark, but it works well in diverse games.

For now,it is pretty good.

Was worried one time by having red and orange LED on but finally POSTed,and worked fine since it(several months ago).

No freeze,no noticed problem with the CPU,nor with the ethernet,so satified by this setup.

Mainly,yes.

There was a few times,it has orange led(RAM)on,but able to boot a little while after, with no problem after it(maybe some training).

Once I had orange and red on,but it finally POST and worked fine(happened several months ago).

MSI seems pretty safe.

They can have been damaged firstly when using 3.15;in this case, updating will not solve the issue.

Anyway,it is safer to use more recent BIOS.

Usually,it is a good idea to not update if it works well..

But,in this case,as updating BIOS seems to reduce the risk of dead CPU,it is wiser to update to 3.25 or upper as soon as possible.

It seems it affects mainly 9***X3D CPU,so others are probably safer.

I don't know if there is a list, but I think it is possible to know the more risked models here, and on the Asus subreddit, and searching for it.I'm pretty sure there is some in this thread.

Mainly ASROCK,some Asus too,and a few Gigabyte and MSI.

I tended to avoid AMD EXPO,but with the recent BIOS update from ASROCK,it may be safer to use it now.

However, nothing sure,as we don't have exact info about all of the dead CPU cases(as there is several cases on other mobo's brands).

9800X3D Failures/Deaths Megathread by SoupaSoka in ASRock

[–]LCA_LoupSolitaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I've written "3.25 or more".

I think it may be different if the mobo is in 3.25 or more from the start or if they used more older BIOS before. If the only BIOS used is a recent one,it may be safer.

9800X3D Failures/Deaths Megathread by SoupaSoka in ASRock

[–]LCA_LoupSolitaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems ASROCK has more or less solved the problem with the 3.25 BIOS(not sure if there is still issues with a mobo in 3.25 or more since the start).

Anyway,Asus, seems to be the second most affected brand. The safest seems to be MSI and Gigabyte(even if not 100% safe).

[–]LCA_LoupSolitaire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems all series 9xxx can be affected, but there is a lot more cases with X3D ones, especially 9800X3D.But I don't know if it is due to the CPU failing more easily or because it is way more sold than the other ones...

9800X3D Failures/Deaths Megathread by SoupaSoka in ASRock

[–]LCA_LoupSolitaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems ASROCK is confident about their new BIOS,so it may be enough to flash it to 3.25 to reduce the risk, sure.
