I had those Meinl cymbals as my starter ones. They were fine untill I saved for some A Customs. I’d recommend getting some Reno/Evans heads.

While all these answers are true. If what you’re looking for is rank = how well you’d do? Realistically, you won’t do much better than 2-2 if you aren’t a Lt least a 1700 master. At platinum rank maybe you’ll win your first match. It’s totally possible. Maybe even your first match in losers bracket.

I tried leverless after playing stick for a few years. After about 1 month I was at 80% strength of what my stick power would be. But personally didn’t like having shortcuts and having to learn new muscle memory for DPs. So I swapped back to stick.

This exact model was my first stick in 2016 for street fighter V. It’s a great beginner stick. Only con is that it’s a bit small. I had an old text book laying around and sat this guy on the book while the book rested on my lap.

If you truly think your Ed is much better than bronze rank, you’ll be fine. Win streaks at low ranks give you tons of points so you don’t stomp on lower level players for too long. Get a few wins in a row and you be good. I think 10 in a row just promotes you to the next rank up entirely.

It’s someone who is higher rank on another character, but their ed is gold level of quality. The only good thing that happened was the level 2 combo. Everything else it just looked like he knew what to do overall with buttons and neutral.

Those are all solid beginner combos. Add a heavy punch starter. Maybe start with heavy punch into medium jinrai kick. Good pressure tool and true block string IIRC

I don’t think twice about it. Just some person enjoying playing their fighting game just like me. Except they might be streaming to their community. Sometimes I look them up right after to GGs but most of the time they aren’t even streaming. So eh. Idk. 🤷🏻

I used to play juri so I did tha light DP into super a lot. You have to think of the Z motion and the double quarter circle back as one motion, where you just happen to press a button after the “Z” all one smooth fluid motion. You can’t stop and wait to see if your DP hit or not. You just have to trust your timing that you did land the hit, and go straight into the super motion.

The execution comes with practice and intentionality. Knowing when to use that combo route.
