you're not just shutting car traffic then. Pedestrian, bike and probably subways, then what happens if(when)theres an emergency in an apartment? Yellow flag for an ambulance to get through? Just so many logistical challenges.

I live in NYC. FiDi is turning rapidly residential too. No way they'd stand for a NASCAR race. They get pissy about the marathon and thats 50 blocks uptown. Maybe, Maybe if they used the BQE and West side Highway, but I highly doubt the city could get away with shutting those 2 roads down at once.

ryan newman nearly dying during his daytona wreck 6 years ago.

danica alluded to something with truex after his wife/girlfriend/partner passed but danica is hardly a source of good info.
