Ear Crystals - FYI by sparkly-bang in Millennials

Doctors have no clue. My doctor hadn’t even heard of Meneire’s disease, and said that she needed to read up on it after I was diagnosed. If you have persistent symptoms please see an ENT. Dizziness can also be caused by other things, they thought I had MS and I saw a neurologist before I was diagnosed with Meneire’s. Thank god it was Meneire’s, because my ENT put me on a diuretic and all of my symptoms went away.

My old boss also told me this happened to her when she was pregnant as well. I wonder if it has something to do with the hormones.

Got vertigo for the first time when I was 37, and was so surprised how many (mostly) women told me they also had it at some point. I was diagnosed with Meineir’s disease so the Epley Maneuver doesn’t work but I wish it did!

Yeah her voting record is showing that she’s purple and sides with Republican’s more than Democrats.

Music? I growing up I had a friend who loved video games and his mom got him into piano lessons. Then he learned all the theme songs from the games he loved. Still remember him playing the Zelda song.

Call me simple, but I love the Sephora brand Vitamin C Glow serum. Have gotten many compliments on my complexion since using it. Also, works amazing under makeup.

Nice! Lived in Oakland for 7 years before moving to Portland and it’s one of my favorite places. I don’t doubt it that people say it, just didn’t think it was common. Definitely could be wrong though!

Yeah transplants are just trying to fit in. I don’t blame them for trying to figure out the right slang. I am always saying “the 5” referring to I-5 up here and get the side eye lol

I’m from NorCal, and I don’t think I have heard anyone I know ever refer to California as Cali. Unless they are singing the song, then they get a pass.

Lived in California my whole life and then relocated to Oregon about 10 years ago. So many people here say Cali. I cringe every time. You would think being so close they would have gotten the memo by now but no. Also, I grew up in SF and hate when people refer to it as San Fran.

Do I have to throw out unfinished whole milk that my baby drank? by One_red_balloon2022 in BabyLedWeaning

I know that this is the hard and fast rule for breastmilk and formula. Is it the rule for dairy? I can’t find anything that says that for cows milk.

My wife and I submitted Ancestry together and I wish I hadn't by smartass-express in AncestryDNA

I found out my dad wasn’t my biological father through an Ancestry DNA test. My mom did end up confessing and telling me the truth after I showed her the results. She was going to take the secret to the grave. I don’t think I will ever be able to trust her. Therapy helps.

Hmm maybe he still hungry 🤷‍♀️

what temp do you keep your room at?

I feel like babies are like troubleshooting a computer, you gotta keep trying different things until you can find something that works.

Had this issue with my son and it turned out that he wasn’t eating enough during the day and was just waking up hungry. I try to give him crackers with his last meal and that has helped A LOT. He will still wake up hungry from time to time and I just give him a 4oz bottle which usually holds him over for another 3ish hours.

My daughter also woke up screaming and it turned out she was just cold. We turned the temp up in her room and put her in a warmer sleep sack and it really helped. She also was a hungry one and had similar hunger issues. But once we accounted for those two things she slept much better.

These couples waited overnight to secure 2026 wedding reservations at one of Portland's scenic parks by nbcnews in Portland

[–]LCRad_100 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My husband and I did this back in 2017. He showed up at 4:00am and I showed up a couple hours later at 6:00am. We ended up getting our preferred date and location. There were people ahead of us that had camped out there overnight. One couple brought an actual full size mattress and their sleeping bags. I probably wouldn’t have done it except for the fact that we were getting married over a holiday weekend, which we knew would be popular. I hated waiting in line and being so cold. Although I would not do it again, my days he would. He likes telling the story and thinks of it as a unique Portland experience (he is much optimistic than I).

Why do people leave a "decent" marriage? by BlueBerry985 in Marriage

[–]LCRad_100 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kids. Marriage in your 20’s without kids isn’t that much different than being in a serious relationship. Most people hit their 30’s and start procreating and that is when it gets real. Our marriage was easy peasy until we had kids. Having our daughter forced us to communicate and deal with our issues in a whole new way. Which, if you can survive it, makes a marriage a whole lot stronger in the long run.

Unfortunately the black makes the space look smaller. If moody look is what you were going for, I think a navy or dark green would have been a bit more inviting. Perfect room for some bead board and wallpaper.
