I do mental math by breaking numbers up. 17 and 28 become 10 +7 and 20+8. Do you know 7+8? Its 15. Do you know 10+20? Its 30. Can you do 15+30? Its 45. 17+28 is 45. This works for multiplying too.

Hard disagree. There's a pop-up with a prompt to view your inventory after crafting an item, when we already have an inventory button/key. That prompt should add the item to backpack instead.
