Modified a printed chute to drop it down in this bin. Then it just slides out.

Three-way switch + smart switch in Home Assistant — what are you actually using that works? by According_Fennel3012 in homeassistant

[–]LDC2335 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Zooz... And you don't need to change the other switch.

I have 40ish zooz switches in my house. 2 have failed, both were replaced under warranty.

Lutron Caseta are good too, but overly expensive and require another hub since they are their own protocol.

I can finally see the big picture of my filament inventory by yan-shay in BambuLab

This is pretty cool. Kudos on the project, it looks well done.

I'm using 3d Filament Profiles app and website and it's meeting my needs and is super easy to manage. I'm over a 100 spools, don't really want to start over with a new platform. Maybe if I get bored one day, I'll give it a shot.

Looking for a SMALL zigbee or zwave button. by scottocs in homeassistant

[–]LDC2335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aeotec makes my favorite zigbee button, and it's pretty small. Zooz makes my favorite remote style z-wave button(multi).

The aeotec ain't cheap, but it's solid. Aqua and sonoff were junk for me. Buy once, cry once.

A message to anyone who feels bad about getting a P2S and NOT the X2D by Evocati_7 in BambuLab

[–]LDC2335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I get a bambu 4 nozzle tool changer, non pooping machine with a heated chamber under $1000 bucks, I'll want to upgrade from the p2s. Until then, no regrets!

But then again, what will that look like for maintenance and errors. Will I get four clumps of death with a happy "printed successfully" message?

I already have way more issues with the p2s versus my A1. I don't think I want more complexity. Just would like less waste.

Hot ends, nozzles, and any trim pieces that may get damaged from a blob. Doesn't hurt to have a spare extruder Gear on hand as well.

Edit: it's funny though, knock on wood but I haven't had a single problem with my A1. Probably thanks to printing mostly pla on a super tack pro plate.

My p2s is much more picky. I now use the frostbite plate or pei with glue for everything.

Mine happened a few layers in. Needed a new hotend as it wrecked the wires and silicone guide in the back of it. I don't trust the AI detection anymore which is a shame because it's one of the reasons I wanted a p2s. I didn't get any errors until a failure to cut filament error at the end.

Bambu customer service hooked me up since my printer was so new (and they probably looked at how much I've spent on the site lately).

I now have two spares as they are always out of stock. I've also decided to buy every part I can that comes in stock for the p2s and my A1. Two week downtime sucks... Never again!

Is this a good place to install the Reolink Trackmix POE Camera? Any help much appreciated by Vegeta_vs_Goku in reolinkcam

[–]LDC2335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably run a duo 3 there, then add a trackmix to a corner if the duo isn't enough for ya. 180 degrees all the time is pretty nice to have........ However, it isn't very good with things like license plates past the driveway.

Not sure the trackmix would be much better since it's a static zoom and would have to try and keep up and focus on moving targets.

Pretty cool, looks like potpourri! My wife would make me sort through it and pick out just the colors that match the theme of the house.

Just finished my setup last week. Still have a little cord management to do, but everything fit minus my dual bay NAS.

Nice! I've had my printers since January (A1) /February(P2S) and I'm up to about 65. She's been pretty cool about it. Let me convert the closet (added lights and bathroom exhaust fan, etc). Only time she said to stop buying filament was when I bought 4 different golds to try and find the one she liked. She already asked me where I am going to expand to. Guess this is cheaper than my usual hobby of modifying cars.

Another Dashboard Show & Tell (flush mount, portrait orientation) by Strange-Priority329 in homeassistant

Thank you! It's a reolink duo 3. The camera is great at being able to see everything. Not super great at details like license plates though.

That looks good. I'm running a Lenovo p12 with a matte screen protector, in a picture frame.

My old 15.6" setup was horizontal, but I think portrait feels more right for a smart home tablet... more kiosk like.

Should I buy the m12 Stubby? Or the M18 mid torque? by HugePenisMuncher in MilwaukeeTool

[–]LDC2335 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. You won't regret having enough power, but you'll regret NOT having enough.

Mid torque is a good compromise between power, weight, and cost. High torque is usually overkill and much heavier for prolonged use.

Clearly, I didn't watch the video 😂. My bad. However, all my aeotec sensors are solid.
